What this workflow does
TradingView alerts are only useful if you see them in time. Many traders already keep Telegram open all day, so routing alerts there puts them next to the chats and groups where they discuss trades. This workflow forwards each alert as a Telegram message, for you alone or for a group.
After import, the TradingView trigger shows a webhook URL of its own. Add that URL to the notifications of each alert you want forwarded. When the alert fires, TradingView posts the alert message to FlowMattic. Writing that message as JSON, with keys such as ticker, price and signal, makes each value a field you can map.
The Telegram step sends a text message, with markup support, through your Telegram bot. It ships unmapped, so after import you connect the bot, choose the chat and write the text, mapping in the alert values. A Telegram bot can only message a person who has started it or a group it has been added to.
Every alert that reaches the webhook becomes one message. Task History lists each run, with what TradingView sent and what Telegram returned.

- Write the TradingView alert message as JSON, such as ticker, close price and signal name, so each value maps on its own into the Telegram text.
- Use the same webhook URL on several alerts and include the alert name in the message, so one workflow handles your whole watchlist and you can tell the signals apart.
- Put a Filter between the TradingView trigger and the Telegram step that continues only when the signal field says buy or sell, if you only want certain alerts forwarded. The signal field is yours to define in the alert message.
- Add a bold label or the ticker at the start of the text using Telegram markup, so alerts stand out in a busy chat.

Where does the trigger's URL go in my TradingView alert?
Open the alert in TradingView, go to its notification settings and enable the webhook URL option. Paste the URL shown in the FlowMattic TradingView trigger there.
Can TradingView alerts post to a Telegram group?
Yes. Add your bot to the Telegram group, then pick that chat in the Send a Text Message step. A bot can't start a conversation with someone who has never opened it.
Which alert details can I put in the Telegram text?
Only what TradingView sends in the alert message. Put the values you want, such as ticker, price or interval, in that message and map them into the Telegram step.
Will alerts that fired before I set this up be sent to Telegram?
No. The workflow only receives alerts that fire after its webhook URL is added to them in TradingView.
