When a new form submission is received in Fluent Forms, create an attendee in Eventin

Each Fluent Forms submission adds the person as a new attendee in Eventin, using the name, email and other answers you map, so a custom registration form fills your event’s attendee list.

Fluent Forms Eventin

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 1.2k sites Free to import

The When a new form submission is received in Fluent Forms, create an attendee in Eventin workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Fluent Forms, Eventin
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Eventin has its own booking flow, but sometimes you want people to register through a form you already built in Fluent Forms: one with your own questions, layout or consent checkboxes. This workflow takes each entry from that form and creates an Eventin attendee from it, so the people who sign up appear with the rest of your event's attendees.

The Fluent Forms trigger runs when a new submission is received and passes the entry's fields to FlowMattic. The Eventin step, Create Attendee, then creates a new attendee for an event. It ships unmapped: after import you set which event the attendee belongs to and map the form's name, email and any other answers into the attendee details. Submit a test entry and check the attendee in Eventin to confirm the values landed where you expect.

The template has no condition, so every submission becomes an attendee. Create Attendee is a create action, so a person who submits twice is likely to end up listed twice; a test with the same email shows what Eventin does. Point the trigger at a form used only for this event, and use Task History to read Eventin's response for each run.

Free workshop sign-ups

A library registers people for a free workshop through a short Fluent Forms form on its events page, and the librarian checks the attendee list in Eventin on the day.

Registrations with extra questions

A conference asks for dietary needs and job title in Fluent Forms, then keeps the attendee record in Eventin with the details you choose to map.

Volunteers for a community event

A charity collects volunteer sign-ups through a Fluent Forms form and adds them as attendees of the clean-up day in Eventin, so everyone is in one list.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Fluent Forms New Form Submission

Starts when Fluent Forms receives a new submission. The entry's fields, such as name, email and the answers to your questions, are passed on to Eventin.

  2. Step 2Action
    Eventin Create Attendee

Creates a new Eventin attendee for an event. The step ships unmapped: set the event and map the form's name and email, plus any other answers, then confirm the result with a test entry.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Fluent Forms PluginPlugin
  • Eventin PluginPlugin

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Make the email field required in your Fluent Forms form, so every attendee record in Eventin has an address you can contact.
  • If one form covers several events, put a Router between the Fluent Forms trigger and the Create Attendee step, with one route per answer to your event question. Move Create Attendee into the first route and copy it into the others, each set to its own event.
  • Add an Email step after Create Attendee that sends the person a short note with the event date and place, mapping their email from the form.

Questions about this workflow

Does this create a ticket order in Eventin?

No. The step creates an attendee, not a purchase. Use it for free events or for registrations you handle outside the Eventin checkout.

Does a repeat registration create a second Eventin attendee?

Each submission runs Create Attendee again. It is a create action, so expect a second attendee for the same person; check with a test and remove duplicates in Eventin if needed.

Which Eventin event do new attendees join?

The one you set in the Create Attendee step after import. The template doesn't choose an event for you, so set it before you turn the workflow on.

Are past Fluent Forms entries added as attendees?

No. Entries from before the workflow was turned on don't run it. Only new submissions create attendees.
