When New Form Submission received in Contact Form 7, Add an Attendee in HeySummit
When a visitor fills in your Contact Form 7 form, this workflow creates them as an attendee for a HeySummit event, so a sign-up form on your WordPress site doubles as event registration.

What this workflow does
You may already promote an online summit on your own WordPress site, with a Contact Form 7 form to collect interest. Without a link between the two, each name has to be registered in HeySummit by hand before that person can join the event. This workflow does the registration when the form is sent.
The Contact Form 7 trigger picks up each new submission on your site. FlowMattic passes the submitted fields to HeySummit, whose Add New Attendee action creates a new attendee for a specific event. You map the form's name and email fields into that step during setup.
Every submission of the form runs the workflow, so use a form meant only for event sign-ups. Contact Form 7 keeps sending its usual notification email. Task History shows what was sent to HeySummit and its reply, which is the place to look if an attendee doesn't appear.
Summit landing page on your own site
Your WordPress landing page carries the sales copy and a short Contact Form 7 form. Each visitor who submits it becomes a HeySummit attendee for the event.
Free workshop series for members
A members-only page on your site has a sign-up form. Members register for the next HeySummit workshop without leaving your site.
Sign-up form on a partner's guest post
A co-host publishes your Contact Form 7 form on a page of your site written for their audience. People who arrive from the partner register for the same HeySummit event.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Contact Form 7 New Form SubmissionFires on each new Contact Form 7 submission on your site. The submitted fields, such as name and email, are handed to the HeySummit step.
HeySummit Add New AttendeeCreates a new attendee for a specific event in HeySummit from the submission. Map the form's name and email fields here, connect your HeySummit account, and run a test to confirm the attendee appears.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Contact Form 7 PluginPlugin
- HeySummit AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Make the email field required in the form tag (email*) so HeySummit always receives an address for the attendee.
- If the same site has other Contact Form 7 forms, add a Filter after the trigger that continues only for the event sign-up form, so contact enquiries don't create attendees.
- Add a consent checkbox to the form and a Filter that continues only when it is ticked, if you need recorded agreement before registering someone.
Questions about this workflow
Do I need a HeySummit account to use this Contact Form 7 workflow?
Yes. The attendee is created through your HeySummit account, which you connect during import, and the event must already exist in HeySummit.
What happens if someone submits the form twice?
The workflow runs twice and asks HeySummit to create the attendee each time. How HeySummit treats a repeat email isn't set by this template, so check Task History after a test with the same address.
Can this register people for a paid HeySummit event?
The step creates the attendee directly and takes no payment. For paid tickets, send people through HeySummit's own checkout instead.
Will older Contact Form 7 submissions be registered?
No. Contact Form 7 doesn't store past entries on its own, and the trigger only sees submissions made while the workflow is on.
