Verify the email with Email List Validation, then create a Pabbly customer from Typeform

Each new Typeform response has its email checked by Email List Validation, then FlowMattic creates a customer in Pabbly Subscriptions from the answers, ready for plans and invoices.

The Verify the email with Email List Validation, then create a Pabbly customer from Typeform workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across Typeform, Email List Validation, Pabbly Subscriptions
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Typeform often sits in front of trial sign-ups, pre-orders and quote requests, while Pabbly Subscriptions holds the billing side. This workflow moves each respondent across: it checks the email with Email List Validation and then creates a matching customer in Pabbly Subscriptions, so nobody copies details between the two.

The Typeform trigger runs for each new form submission and passes the answers on. The Email List Validation step then verifies the address. It ships unmapped, so after import you connect your account and map the email answer into it.

The last step creates a new customer in Pabbly Subscriptions. It is also unmapped, so you map the answers you collect into the new customer record.

As imported, the check doesn't decide anything. Every response goes on to Pabbly Subscriptions whatever the verification says. To create customers only for addresses that pass, add a Filter on the result between the two steps. Each run's step results appear in Task History.

Trial sign-ups into billing

A software company collects trial requests in Typeform and gets each requester set up as a Pabbly Subscriptions customer, ready for a plan when the trial ends.

Pre-orders before launch

A course creator runs a pre-order form in Typeform and has every respondent waiting in Pabbly Subscriptions when the checkout opens.

Membership applications

A club asks applicants to fill in a Typeform, and each applicant appears as a customer in Pabbly Subscriptions so the treasurer can assign a membership plan.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Typeform New Form Submission

Starts the workflow each time someone submits your Typeform. Their answers, including the email address they gave, are passed to the next steps.

  2. Step 2Action
Email List Validation Verify Single Email

Checks the email address with Email List Validation. The step ships unmapped: connect your Email List Validation account and map the email answer from Typeform into it.

  3. Step 3Action
    Pabbly Subscriptions Create Customer

Creates a new customer in Pabbly Subscriptions. Map the respondent's answers into the customer after import; the step runs for every response, whatever the verification result.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Typeform AccountAccount
  • Email List Validation AccountAccount
  • Pabbly Subscriptions AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Put a Filter between the Email List Validation step and the Pabbly Subscriptions step that continues only on the result a valid address returns. Check a test run for that exact value first.
  • Make the email question required in Typeform, so every response carries an address to check.
  • Ask for the respondent's name in Typeform as well as the email, so the Pabbly customer record holds more than an address.

Questions about this workflow

Does an invalid email stop the Pabbly Subscriptions customer from being created?

Not as imported. The workflow checks the address but has no Filter, so every Typeform response creates a customer. Add a Filter between the verification step and the Pabbly step to stop the ones that fail.

What if the respondent is already a customer in Pabbly Subscriptions?

The step is a create action, so how Pabbly treats a second customer with the same email is up to Pabbly. Submit the form twice with one address and check the response in Task History.

Which Typeform answers reach Pabbly Subscriptions?

Only the ones you map. Both action steps ship empty, so after import you pick the email answer for the check and match your other answers to the customer's details.

Does this subscribe the person to a plan in Pabbly?

No. It creates the customer only. FlowMattic's Pabbly Subscriptions integration also has a Create Subscription action for an existing customer, which you can add after the Create Customer step and point at a plan.
