AI agent that logs each paid Razorpay order and flags payment problems
When a Razorpay order is paid, an AI agent reviews the payment details, is told to record a line in your finance sheet, and can post a Slack note when something looks missing or wrong.

What this workflow does
Finance teams reconcile payments by checking that each one carries the details they need and adding it to a ledger. Doing that by hand for every Razorpay order is slow, and a payment with a missing order ID or an odd amount is easy to miss. This workflow hands the first pass to an AI agent.
The Razorpay Order Paid trigger starts a run each time an order is paid. The agent receives one line with the payment ID, order ID, currency and amount. Its instructions tell it to check that all four are present and that the amount is a positive number, record a line to the finance sheet, and post a short note to Slack if anything is missing or looks wrong.
The AI Agent step runs on OpenAI's GPT-4o and has two tools. Google Sheets Add New Row is described as recording the payment line, and Slack Send Channel Message as flagging payments that look wrong. The agent chooses when to call each tool, so read a few runs in Task History before you rely on it as your only ledger.
Both tools need setup after import. Connect Google Sheets and pick the finance sheet, then connect Slack and choose the channel. As shipped, the Slack tool's message holds only the text AI:, so send a test payment with a problem and check what actually reaches the channel.
Daily ledger for a small online store
A shop taking Razorpay payments gets a row per paid order in its finance sheet, which the accountant reconciles against bank settlements.
Spotting incomplete payment data
A subscription business notices in Slack when a paid order arrives without an order ID, so someone checks it before month-end.
Finance channel for a growing team
A startup's founders follow a Slack channel where the agent posts only the payments it thinks need a human look.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Razorpay Order PaidRuns when an order is paid in Razorpay. The payment ID, order ID, currency and amount from the event are passed to the AI agent as its input.
AI Agent Execute AgentAn AI agent on GPT-4o checks that the payment ID, order ID, currency and amount are present and the amount is positive. It is told to log every payment and flag problems, using the two tools below.
Google Sheets Add New RowAgent tool that adds a row to your finance sheet, described to the agent as recording the payment line. Connect Google Sheets and pick the sheet after import, then confirm in a test what the agent writes.
Slack Send Channel MessageAgent tool for flagging payments that look wrong in a Slack channel. Its message is preset to AI: only, so choose the channel and check a test run to see what the agent's note contains.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Razorpay AccountAccount
- AI ProviderAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Give the finance sheet clear headers, such as payment ID, order ID, currency and amount, so the rows the agent adds are easy to reconcile.
- Add a line to the agent's instructions saying what the sheet columns are and in which order, so its rows follow your layout.
- Mention a minimum or maximum amount in the instructions if you want the agent to flag unusual totals as well as missing data.
- Use a Slack channel that only your finance team watches, since the notes can contain payment and order IDs.
Questions about this workflow
Will every paid Razorpay order get a row in the finance sheet?
The agent is instructed to record a line for each payment, but it decides when to call its tools. Compare the sheet with your Razorpay dashboard for the first days to confirm it logs every order.
Which AI provider does this Razorpay agent need?
As imported, the agent step names OpenAI's GPT-4o, which means connecting an OpenAI account in FlowMattic. Another chat model with tool support can be chosen in the AI Agent step instead.
What counts as a payment problem for the agent?
Only what its instructions describe: a missing payment ID, order ID, currency or amount, or an amount that isn't a positive number. Add your own checks to the system prompt.
Does the agent change anything in Razorpay?
No. It reads the event data and can only use its two tools, the Google Sheets row and the Slack message. Nothing is sent back to Razorpay.
