Generate video show notes and a promo blurb from every RSS episode
When a new episode appears in your RSS feed, an AI agent writes show notes and a short promo blurb from its title and summary, can post the blurb to Telegram and save the notes to Google Drive, and Discord announces the episode.

What this workflow does
Publishing an episode is only half the job. Show notes and a promo post for each channel take time, and they often get written days later or not at all. This workflow starts that work the moment a new item lands in your feed.
The RSS Feed trigger watches your show's feed for new items. FlowMattic passes the episode title, summary and link to an AI Agent told to write structured show notes and a short promo blurb, then post them. The prompt is written for podcast marketing, and the agent uses GPT-4o from OpenAI as shipped.
The agent has two tools. Send a Text Message posts the promo blurb to Telegram. Create File From Text saves the show notes as a file in Google Drive, with a name and content written by the agent. The agent decides when to use each tool, so watch Task History for the first few episodes.
After the agent step, Discord gets a fixed message announcing the new episode with its title and link. The agent only sees what your feed provides, so the notes are as detailed as the feed's description. It does not watch the video or listen to the audio.
Weekly video series with a written summary
Your feed's description holds a paragraph about each episode. The agent expands it into structured notes in Google Drive that you can paste into the video description.
Podcast with a Telegram channel
Listeners follow your Telegram channel. A promo blurb appears there for each new episode without you writing it by hand.
Community server for a show
Members in Discord get an announcement with the link every time an episode goes live, while the notes are filed for your website.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
RSS Feed New Item in RSS FeedRuns when a new item appears in the RSS feed you enter. The item's title, description and link are passed to the agent and the Discord step.
AI Agent Execute AgentRuns an AI agent on the episode title, summary and link. It is told to write structured show notes and a short promo blurb, then post them using its tools.
Telegram Send a Text MessageA tool the agent can call to post the promo blurb to Telegram. The agent writes the text. Connect your Telegram bot and choose the chat or channel it posts in.
Google Drive Create File From TextA tool the agent can call to save the show notes as a new file in Google Drive, with the file name and content written by the agent. Connect Google Drive during setup.
Discord Send Channel MessagePosts a fixed announcement to a Discord channel with the new episode's title and link. It runs after the agent on every new feed item, whatever the agent did.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- AI ProviderAccount
- Telegram AccountAccount
- Google Drive AccountAccount
- Discord AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- If your feed is for videos, change podcast to video in the system prompt so the notes and blurb are worded for viewers.
- Put full episode notes or a transcript excerpt in your feed's description where you can. The agent writes better notes when it has more to work from.
- Map the agent's text output into the Discord message so your community sees the promo blurb, not only the title and link.
- Tell the agent in its prompt which Google Drive naming pattern to use, such as the episode number and title, so files sort in order.
Questions about this workflow
Does the AI agent watch the video or listen to the episode?
No. It only receives the title, description and link from the RSS feed. The show notes are based on that text.
Will the Telegram blurb and Google Drive notes be created for every episode?
The agent is told to post them, but it decides when to call its tools. The Discord announcement is a normal step and runs every time.
Which feed works with this RSS show notes workflow?
Any RSS feed with a title, description and link for each item, such as a podcast feed or a video channel feed. Test with your feed to see what the description contains.
Do I need Telegram, Google Drive and Discord?
As imported, yes. Remove a tool or step for any app you don't use, and the rest of the workflow still runs.
