What this workflow does

A new viewer on a streaming service needs a nudge to find content, finish setup or start a trial properly. Those emails are easy to build in Mailchimp, but only if the person is in your audience. This workflow puts each new Muvi user there.

The Muvi trigger is User Created, which fires when a user is created on your platform. FlowMattic receives that user's details. The Mailchimp step then runs Add New Member on the audience you choose, using the email and any name fields you map. An address that is already in the audience gets its member record updated rather than duplicated.

The workflow adds people; it doesn't send anything itself. Your onboarding emails come from a Mailchimp automation or journey that starts when someone joins the audience. Task History records each run with the Muvi data and Mailchimp's response.

Not by itself. The workflow only adds the member. Set up a Mailchimp automation or journey that starts when someone joins the audience to send the emails.

What if the Muvi user is already in my Mailchimp audience?

Add New Member updates an existing member instead of creating a duplicate, so the person stays in your audience once, with the details you mapped.

Will users who existed before the import be added?

No. The trigger fires for users created after the workflow is on. Export your existing Muvi users and import them into Mailchimp if you want them in the audience too.

Does a profile change in Muvi update Mailchimp?

Not with this template. It uses User Created only. Muvi also has a User Updated trigger in FlowMattic that you could use in a second workflow.
