What this workflow does
Teams plan projects in ActiveCollab, but many people run their day from Todoist. Keeping both lists in step by hand means retyping tasks, and some get missed. This workflow creates a Todoist task each time a task is created in ActiveCollab, so nothing new slips past your personal list.
The ActiveCollab trigger fires when a task is created and passes its details on, such as the task name, project and due date. Run a test task to see exactly which fields arrive from your account.
The Todoist Create Task step then adds a new task. It ships unmapped. After import you connect Todoist and map the ActiveCollab task name into the Todoist task, plus anything else you want to carry over, such as the due date or a link back to the project. Choose the Todoist project the tasks should go into if you keep work separate from personal items.
Every task created in ActiveCollab starts a run, whoever creates it and whichever project it belongs to. Changes made later in ActiveCollab, like renaming or completing a task, don't reach Todoist. Check Task History after your first test to confirm the new Todoist task looks right.
