Log every Masteriyo course completion in a Google Sheets spreadsheet
Every time a student completes a Masteriyo course, this workflow adds a row to a Google Sheets spreadsheet, so you have a running record of completions to share, sort or report on.

What this workflow does
Course completions matter for certificates, client reports, compliance records and simply knowing which courses people finish. Masteriyo tracks progress inside WordPress, but managers and clients often want the list somewhere they can open without an admin login. This workflow logs each completion in Google Sheets.
The Masteriyo trigger fires when a student completes a course. The student and course values in that event become data you can map. The Google Sheets step then adds a row to the spreadsheet you pick, with each column filled from the Masteriyo value you map to it.
Every completion adds its own row, across all your Masteriyo courses, so one sheet can hold the whole academy. If you need a sheet per course, add a Filter on the course value. Complete a test course with a dummy student to see which values arrive, and check Task History for each row.
Compliance training records
A company runs mandatory safety training in Masteriyo, and HR keeps the Google Sheet of completions as evidence of who finished it and when.
Reporting to a corporate client
A training provider shares a completions sheet with the client that paid for staff seats, so the client follows progress without logging in to WordPress.
Spotting popular courses
Sort or chart the sheet by course name to see which Masteriyo courses students actually finish, and use that when planning new content.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Masteriyo Course CompletedFires when a student completes a course in Masteriyo on your site. The student and course details are passed on so the sheet can record them.
Google Sheets Add New RowAdds one row per completion to the Google Sheets spreadsheet you choose. Set up headers such as student, email, course and date, map each to a Masteriyo value, and connect your Google account.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Masteriyo AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a Filter after the Masteriyo trigger on the course name or ID to log completions for a single course, such as one compliance module, in its own sheet.
- Map the completion time into a date column so you can filter the sheet by month for reports.
- Add an email step after Google Sheets to congratulate the student or notify their manager, using the same Masteriyo values.
Questions about this workflow
Does every Masteriyo course completion add a row?
Yes, as imported. There is no Filter, so each completion of any course adds one row to the sheet.
Are past Masteriyo completions added to the sheet?
No. The trigger only reacts to completions after you turn the workflow on. Older completions stay in Masteriyo.
What if a student completes the same Masteriyo course twice?
If Masteriyo reports a second completion, the workflow adds a second row. The sheet then shows both, and you can remove duplicates when you report.
