What this workflow does
A form that goes quiet after the submit button leaves people wondering whether anything happened. A short confirmation email answers that and gives them something to reply to. This workflow sends one from your own Gmail address for each Builder.io form submission.
The Builder.io trigger fires when a new submission is made from the form. FlowMattic receives the submitted fields and hands them to Gmail, whose Send Email action sends the message. You map the submitter's email address as the recipient and write the subject and body, adding any answers from the form.
The email goes out from the Gmail account you connect, so replies come back to that inbox. Every submission sends one email, including test entries, so use your own address while you set it up. Task History shows each run and Gmail's response.
Contact form on a Builder.io landing page
Visitors who send an enquiry get an email from your Gmail address that confirms receipt and says when to expect an answer.
Event or waitlist sign-ups
People who join a waitlist through a Builder.io form receive a confirmation that repeats the details they entered.
Quote requests for a small business
A customer asking for a quote gets an immediate email, and their reply goes straight to the Gmail inbox your team checks.

What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Builder.io AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Check that your Builder.io form collects an email address on every submission, so the Gmail step always has someone to send to.
- Add a second Gmail Send Email step addressed to yourself if you also want a copy of each submission in your inbox.
- Submit the form once with your own email after import, then map the captured fields in the Gmail step and check the message you receive.
Questions about this workflow
Which Gmail address sends the Builder.io confirmation?
It comes from whichever Gmail account you link to FlowMattic when you import the workflow. Replies to the confirmation go back to that inbox.
What if the Builder.io form has no email field?
The Gmail step needs a recipient address, so add an email field to the form and map it. Without one, the step has nowhere to send the message.
Can the confirmation include what the person entered in the form?
Yes. Any field from the Builder.io submission can be mapped into the subject or body of the email.
