Send a Slack alert for every new Sitejet form submission

Every form submitted on your Sitejet website turns into a message in the Slack channel you choose, so your team can read and act on new enquiries from Slack instead of waiting for an email.

Sitejet Slack

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 981 sites Free to import

The Send a Slack alert for every new Sitejet form submission workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Sitejet, Slack
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Form submissions from a website usually arrive as emails to one inbox. If the person who owns that inbox is busy, nobody else knows a new enquiry is waiting. This workflow posts every Sitejet form submission to a shared Slack channel, where the whole team can see it.

The Sitejet trigger, New Form Submission, fires each time a visitor submits a form on your Sitejet site. FlowMattic receives the submitted fields. The Slack step, Send Channel Message, then shares the submission in a channel of your choosing. You write the message and drop in the form answers you want to show, such as the sender's name, email and message.

There is no Filter in the template, so every submission produces a Slack message. The form keeps working as it did before. Each run is logged in Task History, which shows the data received from Sitejet and what Slack returned.

Agency handling forms for client sites

Point submissions from a client's Sitejet contact form to a channel for that client, so the account team sees each enquiry together.

Quote requests for a trades business

A plumber's quote form on Sitejet posts to a #quotes channel, and whoever is free picks up the job and replies to the customer.

Event or class sign-ups

Registrations through a Sitejet form appear in Slack one by one, giving the organiser a running feed of who has signed up.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Sitejet New Form Submission

Fires each time a visitor submits a form on your Sitejet website. All submitted fields are passed on so you can place them in the Slack message.

  2. Step 2Action
    Slack Send Channel Message

Posts a message to the Slack channel of your choice. Compose the text with the form answers mapped in, and connect your Slack workspace on import.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Sitejet AccountAccount
  • Slack AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Submit a test entry on your Sitejet form after import so FlowMattic captures its fields, then map them into the Slack message text.
  • Use a Router if you run several Sitejet forms and want each one in its own Slack channel. Give each route a condition on a field that differs between the forms.
  • For a private channel, replace the step with Slack's Send Private Channel Message action, which the standard channel action doesn't cover.

Questions about this workflow

Will Sitejet still send me its usual email for each form submission?

This workflow only receives the submission data. It doesn't change the form settings in Sitejet, so any email notifications you set up there keep working.

Can I post only some Sitejet submissions to Slack?

Not as imported. Every submission is posted. Add a Filter after the trigger with a condition on a form field to limit which ones go to Slack.

Which Sitejet form fields show up in the Slack message?

Only the ones you map into the message text. After a test submission, every field from that form is available to choose from in the Slack step.

Are older Sitejet form entries posted when I turn this on?

No. The trigger reacts to new submissions only, so entries made before the workflow is active don't reach Slack.

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.

Tijn

Ease of use and terrific support from the founder. Tons of integrations and regular updates. The Flowmattic custom app is great especially if you want to integrate apps that aren't available yet inside Flowmattic.
