What this workflow does

Cafes, hotels and shops that offer guest WiFi collect details at the login page, but those details often stay inside the WiFi system. If you send newsletters through MailerLite, every guest would have to be exported and imported by hand. This workflow moves each guest across as they connect and tells your team in Slack.

The AiWifi trigger fires when a new guest connects to your AiWifi captive portal. The guest details from the portal become values you can map. MailerLite then runs Create or Update Subscriber, which adds a new subscriber or updates the one that already has that email. Last, Slack posts a message to a channel using the guest's details.

Only add guests to MailerLite if your portal asks for consent to email them, since the workflow sends every connection through. Mapped values can overwrite what an existing subscriber holds, and a blank value may clear a field. Task History lists each run with what MailerLite and Slack returned.

Can the Slack message go to a private staff channel?
