When a new form submission received in Swipe Pages, check if email is valid using Mailboxlayer, and create a new lead in Mailbluster

Check each Swipe Pages form email with Mailboxlayer, then add the person to Mailbluster as a new lead. The check result is there to map or filter on; as imported, every submission reaches Mailbluster.

The When a new form submission received in Swipe Pages, check if email is valid using Mailboxlayer, and create a new lead in Mailbluster workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across Swipe Pages, Mailboxlayer, Mailbluster
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Landing page forms attract mistyped and fake addresses, and those end up on your mailing list. Checking each address when it arrives tells you which leads you can actually reach. This workflow runs that check and then adds the lead.

When a visitor submits a form on a Swipe Pages landing page, FlowMattic sends the email address to Mailboxlayer with its Verify Single Email action. Whatever Mailboxlayer answers can be mapped or checked later in the run. FlowMattic then creates a lead in Mailbluster with the details you map.

No step acts on the result as shipped, so every submission becomes a Mailbluster lead, valid or not. If you want only good addresses on your list, add a Filter between Mailboxlayer and Mailbluster that checks the verification result. See the first tip for how to set it up.

Paid ad landing pages

Ad traffic sends many sign-ups through a Swipe Pages form. A Filter on the Mailboxlayer result keeps unreachable addresses out of your Mailbluster list.

Ebook download page

Visitors trade an email for a download. Every reader becomes a Mailbluster lead, and the run history shows what Mailboxlayer said about each address.

Product waitlist

A waitlist form on Swipe Pages feeds Mailbluster, and checking the address first helps you spot fake entries before launch emails go out.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Swipe Pages New Form Submission

Fires when a visitor submits a form on one of your Swipe Pages landing pages. The submitted fields, including the email, are passed on.

  2. Step 2Action
    Mailboxlayer Verify Single Email

Sends the submitted address to Mailboxlayer to verify it. Connect your Mailboxlayer account and map the email from the form. The response is then available to a Filter or the Mailbluster step.

  3. Step 3Action
    Mailbluster Create a New Lead

Adds the Swipe Pages visitor to Mailbluster as a fresh lead. Connect Mailbluster and map the email and any name fields from the Swipe Pages form.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Swipe Pages AccountAccount
  • Mailboxlayer AccountAccount
  • Mailbluster AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a Filter between Mailboxlayer and Mailbluster that continues only when the result shows a deliverable address. Run a test with a real and a made-up address to see the values to check.
  • Swap the Filter for a Router if you want failed addresses logged to a Google Sheet for review while good ones go to Mailbluster.
  • Swipe Pages also has a Payment Success trigger in FlowMattic. Build a second copy of this workflow on it if buyers should join Mailbluster too.

Questions about this workflow

Are invalid emails kept out of Mailbluster?

Not as imported. Every Swipe Pages submission continues to Mailbluster whatever Mailboxlayer returns. Add a Filter on the verification result to stop the bad ones.

Is Mailboxlayer access needed for the email check?

Yes. The check runs through your own Mailboxlayer account, which you connect when you import the workflow.

Does it work for every Swipe Pages form?

The trigger fires for new form submissions from your Swipe Pages account. Test it with the landing page you plan to use to confirm the data comes through.

What if the lead already exists in Mailbluster?

The step creates a new lead each run. Mailbluster decides how to handle an address it already has, and Task History shows its response.
