When a new submission is received in FormKeep, add the subscriber to Mailchimp
Each new FormKeep submission adds the person to your Mailchimp audience, or updates them if their address is already there, so form sign-ups reach your email list without exports.

What this workflow does
FormKeep collects submissions from static sites and landing pages that have no form backend of their own. Those submissions often hold an email address you want on your list, and copying them into Mailchimp by hand is easy to put off. This workflow moves them across automatically.
The FormKeep trigger fires when a new submission is received. FlowMattic passes the submitted fields to Mailchimp, where Add New Member adds the person to the audience you choose. If that address is already a member, Mailchimp updates them instead of creating a duplicate.
Every FormKeep submission runs the workflow, whatever form it came from in that FormKeep account. If you use one FormKeep form for several purposes, add a Filter so only sign-ups reach Mailchimp. Each FormKeep run, with what Mailchimp answered, is listed in Task History.
Newsletter form on a static site
A site built with a static generator posts its sign-up form to FormKeep, and each address joins your Mailchimp audience.
Landing page for a product launch
Visitors who ask to be told about the launch land in Mailchimp, ready for the announcement email.
Download gate for a guide
People who enter their email to get a PDF through a FormKeep form are added to Mailchimp for your follow-up emails.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
FormKeep New SubmissionFires when FormKeep receives a new submission. The submitted fields, such as email and name, are passed on to the Mailchimp step.
Mailchimp Add New MemberAdds the person to your chosen Mailchimp audience, or updates them if the address is already a member. Map the submission's email and name fields, then connect your Mailchimp account.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- FormKeep AccountAccount
- Mailchimp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a Filter after the trigger to continue only when the email field is not empty, so contact-only messages without an address don't create failed runs.
- If your form has a consent checkbox, add a Filter that only continues when it is ticked.
- Send a test submission to FormKeep after import so FlowMattic captures the fields, then map them in the Mailchimp step.
Questions about this workflow
What happens if the FormKeep submitter is already in my Mailchimp audience?
Add New Member updates an existing member instead of adding them again, so you won't get a duplicate contact.
Do all my FormKeep forms send people to Mailchimp?
Each new submission that reaches the trigger runs the workflow. Add a Filter on a field that identifies the form if only one form should feed Mailchimp.
Will older FormKeep submissions be added to Mailchimp?
No. Only submissions received after you turn on the workflow are sent. Export older ones from FormKeep and import them into Mailchimp separately.
