What this workflow does

A spreadsheet of form leads is only as good as the addresses in it. Typos, disposable inboxes and made-up emails creep in, and you only find out when follow-up emails bounce. This workflow runs each WPForms address through ZeroBounce before the entry is saved to your sheet.

When someone submits a WPForms form, FlowMattic sends the email field to ZeroBounce with the Verify Single Email action. ZeroBounce's response becomes data you can map. The last step writes a row to Google Sheets with the form answers and whichever parts of the ZeroBounce result you choose to keep.

As shipped, the check labels entries but doesn't remove any. Every submission gets a row, whatever ZeroBounce reports, because nothing sits between the verification and the sheet. To keep invalid addresses out, put a Filter between the ZeroBounce step and the Google Sheets step. The tips explain how.

Changes worth making after you import it.

Put a Filter between ZeroBounce and Google Sheets that continues only when the status ZeroBounce returns means valid. Rows are then added only for addresses that pass.
For two sheets, clean leads and ones to review, put a Router between the ZeroBounce step and the Google Sheets step with a route for valid and one for anything else, each with its own Add New Row step. Pick route conditions that never match together.
Submit a test entry with your own address and one with a fake address after import, so you can see the exact values ZeroBounce returns before you build a Filter.

Questions about this workflow

Will invalid WPForms emails be left out of the Google Sheet?

Not as imported. Every entry gets a row along with its ZeroBounce result. A Filter placed between the ZeroBounce step and the Google Sheets step can hold invalid addresses back.

Does a ZeroBounce check stop the WPForms entry from being saved?

No. The workflow runs after the form is submitted, so WPForms handles the entry as usual. The check only affects what goes into the spreadsheet.

Do I need a ZeroBounce account for this WPForms workflow?

Yes. Verification runs through your own ZeroBounce account, connected when you import.

What if a WPForms form has no email field?

Then ZeroBounce has no address to check, so the verification adds nothing for that form. Point the trigger at a form with an email field, make the field required, and check Task History after a test entry to see what ZeroBounce returned.
