When new form data is received in MachForm, add a subscriber in MailerLite

Each time MachForm sends new form data, FlowMattic creates a MailerLite subscriber from the email and other answers you map, or updates the subscriber if they are already on your account.

MachForm MailerLite

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 2.9k sites Free to import

The When new form data is received in MachForm, add a subscriber in MailerLite workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across MachForm, MailerLite
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

MachForm handles the forms on your site, and MailerLite sends your newsletters. Between the two sits a recurring chore: exporting entries and importing them as subscribers. This workflow removes it by adding each person to MailerLite when MachForm passes their form data on.

The MachForm trigger fires when new form data is sent. FlowMattic takes the submitted answers and passes them to MailerLite. Its Create or Update Subscriber action creates a new subscriber, or updates the existing one, and can fill custom fields with the answers you map.

Because the action updates existing subscribers, a person who fills in the form again does not become a duplicate. Their record takes the newer values instead. Collect consent on the form before you send these people campaigns, and run a test entry to see the fields MachForm provides. Each run is recorded in Task History along with MailerLite's response.

Newsletter sign-up form on a business site

A MachForm sign-up box asks for a name and email. Each entry becomes a MailerLite subscriber, ready for your next newsletter.

Event registration with follow-up emails

Attendees register through MachForm. Map the event name into a custom field so you can segment them in MailerLite and send updates before the day.

Download requests for a free guide

Visitors request a guide through a MachForm form. They land in MailerLite, where an automation you build there can deliver the guide.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    MachForm New Form Data

Fires when MachForm sends new form data. The answers from the form become available to map into the MailerLite subscriber.

  2. Step 2Action
    MailerLite Create or Update Subscriber

Creates a new MailerLite subscriber, or updates an existing one, with custom fields filled from the form. Connect MailerLite and map the email field plus any answers you want saved.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • MachForm AccountAccount
  • MailerLite AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a Filter after the MachForm trigger so only entries with a ticked consent box are sent to MailerLite.
  • Create custom fields in MailerLite before import for answers such as company or interest, so they are ready to map in the subscriber step.
  • Add a Google Sheets Add New Row step after MailerLite if you also want a plain list of every MachForm entry.

Questions about this workflow

What if the MachForm visitor is already a MailerLite subscriber?

Create or Update Subscriber updates that subscriber with the values you map instead of adding a second record.

Can MachForm answers fill MailerLite custom fields?

Yes. The action supports custom fields. Create them in MailerLite first, then map the matching form answers in the step.

Are MachForm entries from before import added to MailerLite?

No. Only form data sent after the workflow is turned on starts a run.
