Create New Mailpoet Subscriber when a New Lead is Captured through Facebook Lead Ads
Each lead from your Facebook ad form is added to MailPoet as a new subscriber on your WordPress site, so you can email them from the same dashboard where you run your newsletter.

What this workflow does
MailPoet keeps your subscribers inside WordPress, but Facebook leads live in Meta's systems. Without a link between the two, you download lead files and import them by hand, and new leads wait until you do. This workflow adds each person to MailPoet as soon as they submit your ad's form.
The Facebook Lead Ads trigger listens to the form you choose. Every submission brings the lead's answers into FlowMattic for mapping.
The MailPoet step creates a subscriber from that data. Map the email address, and add first and last name if your form asks for them. Because MailPoet runs on your WordPress site, the subscriber record is stored there, next to the rest of your list.
Grow a newsletter from paid ads
Run a Facebook lead ad offering your newsletter. Every sign-up joins your MailPoet list and gets your next issue with everyone else.
Lead magnet delivery
People request a checklist through the ad form. Once they are MailPoet subscribers, the email you send them links to the download.
Store launch waiting list
A WooCommerce shop collects interest before launch with a lead ad, and the MailPoet list becomes the audience for the opening announcement.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Facebook Lead Ads New LeadBegins the run when someone submits the lead form on your Facebook ad. Connect Facebook, then choose the Page and form so their answers can be mapped in MailPoet.
MailPoet Create New SubscriberCreates a MailPoet subscriber on your WordPress site. Map the lead's email, and add first and last name if your form collects them.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Facebook Lead Ads AccountAccount
- MailPoet PluginPlugin
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Look at the fields the MailPoet step offers after import and fill in any you use for segmenting, so new leads land where your existing emails expect them.
- Running several ad forms? Import the workflow once per form and give each copy its own trigger, so you can keep each offer's sign-ups apart.
- Add a Filter after the trigger to skip leads whose email field is empty, in case the form lets people leave it blank.
Questions about this workflow
Does MailPoet need to be on the same site as FlowMattic?
Yes. The MailPoet step works with the MailPoet plugin installed on the WordPress site where FlowMattic runs.
What if the email is already a subscriber?
The step tries to create a new subscriber. MailPoet keeps one subscriber per email, so check Task History for its response when a lead signs up again.
Are earlier Facebook leads imported?
No. Only leads submitted after the workflow is turned on are added. Older ones stay in Facebook.
Will the lead get a confirmation email?
That depends on your MailPoet settings, not on the workflow. The step only creates the subscriber record.
