Add a Member Note in Mailchimp for Every New Lead from Facebook Lead Ads
Write a note on a Mailchimp member’s profile each time they submit your Facebook Lead Ads form, so the answers they gave sit next to their email history in Mailchimp.

What this workflow does
A Mailchimp profile shows what someone opened and clicked, but not what they told you in an ad form. When the same person answers a new Facebook lead ad, their reply is useful context for whoever writes to them next. This workflow saves it as a member note.
The Facebook Lead Ads trigger fires on each new lead and passes their answers to FlowMattic. The Mailchimp Add Member Note step adds a note to the matching member, built from the lead answers you map into the step.
A note belongs to a member, so this flow is meant for people already in your audience, such as past customers answering a new offer. If many of your leads are new to Mailchimp, add an Add New Member step before the note, as described in the tips. Task History shows each run, including any response from Mailchimp.
Existing customers answer an upsell ad
Customers who reply to an ad for a premium service get a note with their answers, so your team sees what they asked for when they open the profile.
Survey-style lead forms
A lead form asks members about their goals. Each reply is saved as a note, building a short history of what that person told you.
Context for sales follow-up
When a known subscriber requests a callback through a lead ad, the note records their preferred time and question for the person who calls.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Facebook Lead Ads New LeadStarts when your Facebook Lead Ads form receives a new lead. After you connect your Facebook account, the email and the other answers are ready for the Mailchimp note.
Mailchimp Add Member NoteAdds a note to the matching Mailchimp member. Map the lead's answers into the step, then open a test lead's profile in Mailchimp to confirm the note landed on the right member.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Facebook Lead Ads AccountAccount
- Mailchimp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Place a Mailchimp Add New Member step before the note so leads not yet in your audience are added first and the note has a member to attach to.
- Start the note with the name of the ad or offer, then the answers, so a profile with several notes is easy to read later.
- Use a Filter after the trigger to save notes only for leads who filled in an optional comment question, keeping profiles free of empty notes.
Questions about this workflow
What if the lead isn't in my Mailchimp audience?
A note needs an existing member, so the step cannot add one for an unknown email. Add an Add New Member step before it if new leads should be covered.
Does this change the member's subscription status?
No. The step adds a note only. It does not subscribe, unsubscribe or edit other member details.
Where do I see the note?
On the member's profile in Mailchimp, alongside the rest of that person's activity.
What accounts must I connect?
Mailchimp, with the audience that holds your members, and the Facebook account that has access to the page running your lead ads.
