Send Slack channel messages for new Trafft bookings
When a customer books an appointment in Trafft, this workflow posts a message about it to the Slack channel you choose, so staff see new bookings where they already chat.

What this workflow does
Bookings land in Trafft, but your team spends the day in Slack. Unless someone keeps the Trafft dashboard open, a new appointment can go unnoticed until the customer turns up. This workflow brings each booking into a Slack channel as it happens.
The Trafft trigger fires when a new appointment is booked. FlowMattic takes the booking details Trafft sends and passes them to Slack, which posts a new message to the channel you pick. You decide what the message says and which booking details it includes.
Every booking runs the workflow once, so the channel gets one message per appointment. Cancellations and reschedules are separate Trafft events and do not post anything here unless you add them. Task History in FlowMattic keeps a record of each run, which helps if a message ever looks wrong.
Salon front desk
Stylists keep a Slack channel open on the reception tablet. Each Trafft booking appears there, so whoever is free can prepare for the next client.
Consultants sharing one calendar
A small consultancy takes bookings through Trafft. The whole team sees new calls in Slack and knows who has a busy afternoon ahead.
Clinic with a separate admin team
Admin staff who handle reminders and paperwork follow new appointments in Slack without needing a Trafft login.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Trafft Appointment BookedFires when a new appointment is booked in Trafft. The booking details Trafft sends with the event are passed on for mapping into the Slack message.
Slack Send Channel MessagePosts a new message to the Slack channel you choose. Write the text and map in the booking details Trafft sent, then connect your Slack workspace.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Trafft AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Want to hear about changes too? Copy the workflow and switch the trigger to Trafft's Appointment Canceled or Appointment Rescheduled event, posting to the same channel.
- Add a Filter after the trigger to post only some bookings, for example one service, if the Trafft booking data includes it. A test booking shows which details you can check.
- Book a test appointment after import so FlowMattic captures the Trafft fields, then map them into the Slack message and check the result in Task History.
Questions about this workflow
Does a cancelled Trafft appointment post to Slack?
Not as imported. The trigger only fires on new bookings. Trafft has separate FlowMattic triggers for cancelled, rescheduled and status-changed appointments that you can use in another workflow.
Can I post Trafft bookings to a private Slack channel?
That works when the connected Slack account is allowed to post in the private channel. Book a test appointment to confirm the message arrives there.
Will past Trafft bookings be sent to Slack?
No. The workflow only reacts to appointments booked after you turn it on.
What booking details can the Slack message show?
The ones Trafft includes with the Appointment Booked event. Make a test booking, look at the captured data in FlowMattic, and map the details you want.
