Get Slack notification when a High Risk Transaction Created in Paddle
When Paddle creates a high risk transaction, this workflow posts a message in a Slack channel with the details you choose, so the people who handle payments hear about it while it is still fresh.

What this workflow does
Paddle marks some transactions as high risk. If nobody looks at the Paddle dashboard that day, those transactions can sit unnoticed and your team misses a pattern. This workflow brings each one into Slack, where your finance or support people already talk.
The Paddle trigger fires when a high risk transaction is created and passes its data to FlowMattic. The second step uses Send Channel Message in Slack to post into the channel you pick. Write the message and insert values from the transaction, such as the product, the amount or the customer's email, whichever Paddle includes.
Only newly created high risk transactions start a run. When Paddle later updates the transaction, for example after a review, that is a separate trigger and nothing is posted. Every high risk transaction gets a message, since there is no Filter. Task History lists each run and Slack's response.
Finance channel for a software seller
A SaaS company selling through Paddle posts every high risk transaction to its finance channel, where someone checks it the same day.
Support checking a buyer's history
Support staff see the alert in Slack and look up the buyer in your help desk before deciding whether the order needs a closer look.
Spotting repeated risky purchases
A dedicated channel keeps every alert in one place, so a run of flagged transactions from similar emails or countries stands out.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Paddle High Risk Transaction CreatedFires when Paddle creates a high risk transaction. The transaction's data is made available for the Slack message. Use a test run to see which values Paddle sends.
Slack Send Channel MessageSends the alert into the Slack channel you choose. Write the text and add transaction values from the Paddle trigger, so the alert shows what was bought and by whom. Connect Slack on import.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Paddle AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Alerts can include customer emails and payment details. If they belong in a private channel, swap in Slack's Send Private Channel Message action.
- Clone this workflow with Paddle's High Risk Transaction Updated trigger to post the outcome to the same channel when the transaction changes.
- Add a Filter after the trigger if you only want alerts above a certain amount. The Filter compares numbers as whole values, so 49.99 is treated as 49.
Questions about this workflow
Which Paddle events send a Slack message?
Only High Risk Transaction Created. Payments, refunds, disputes and updates to the same high risk transaction are separate Paddle triggers and don't start this workflow.
Does the Slack alert approve or block the Paddle transaction?
No. The workflow only reads the event and posts a message. Any review or decision still happens in Paddle.
Can I send the Paddle alert as a direct message instead of a channel post?
Yes. Swap the Slack step for Slack's Send Direct Message action and pick the person who should receive it.
Are high risk transactions from before I import this posted?
No. Only transactions created after the workflow is turned on send an alert to Slack.
