The When a new submission is received in Typeform, check if the email is valid with ZeroBounce, and create a new customer in Pabbly Subscription workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 4 steps across Typeform, ZeroBounce, Filter, Pabbly Subscriptions
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

If your Typeform is the start of a sign-up or order process, a mistyped or throwaway email leaves you with a billing customer you can't reach. This workflow verifies the address before anything is created in Pabbly Subscription Billing, so the customer list there holds people whose email passed a check.

The Typeform trigger hands FlowMattic every new response as it arrives. The ZeroBounce step then runs Verify Single Email on the address. It ships unmapped, so after import you map the email answer from the Typeform response into it and connect your ZeroBounce account.

A Filter comes next. It continues only when the status ZeroBounce returns exactly matches valid, ignoring case. Any other status, such as invalid, catch-all or unknown, stops the run, so no customer is created for that response. Every response is still verified, whatever the result.

For valid addresses, Pabbly Subscription Billing runs Create Customer. It also arrives without mapping, so map the email and name answers, plus anything else you want on the customer. Submit a test with a real address and one made-up address, and compare the two runs in Task History.

Clean billing records from a sign-up form

A SaaS company collects trial sign-ups in Typeform and creates Pabbly customers only for addresses ZeroBounce reports as valid, ready to attach a plan later.

Course registrations with a payment step

An online school asks for details in Typeform first, and the Pabbly customer record exists before the student is sent the payment link.

Keeping fake entries out of invoicing

A consultant's application form attracts some joke submissions, and the ZeroBounce check keeps those addresses from becoming customers.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Typeform New Form Submission

Starts a run whenever a respondent completes and submits the Typeform. All the answers, including the email question, are available to the ZeroBounce and Pabbly steps.

  2. Step 2Action
    ZeroBounce Verify Single Email

Verifies the respondent's email address with ZeroBounce and returns a status. The step ships unmapped: map the Typeform email answer into it and connect your ZeroBounce account.

  3. Step 3Logic
    Filter Continue If Condition Meet

Lets the run continue only when the ZeroBounce status exactly matches valid, ignoring case. Invalid, catch-all, unknown and other statuses stop here, so Pabbly is never reached for them.

  4. Step 4Action
    Pabbly Subscriptions Create Customer

Creates a customer in Pabbly Subscription Billing for each verified address. Nothing is mapped as imported, so map the email, first and last name and any other details from the response.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Typeform AccountAccount
  • ZeroBounce AccountAccount
  • Pabbly Subscriptions AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • To accept catch-all addresses as well, edit the existing Filter so that a status of catch-all also lets the run continue, alongside valid. Test both with known addresses.
  • Keep the condition as exactly matches. A contains check for valid would also let invalid through, because Filter text checks ignore case and find the word inside invalid.
  • Make the email question required in Typeform, since ZeroBounce has nothing to verify on a response without one.

Questions about this workflow

What happens to Typeform responses with an invalid email?

ZeroBounce still checks them, but the Filter stops the run because the status isn't valid. No Pabbly customer is created, and Task History shows the status ZeroBounce returned.

Is a catch-all email treated as valid?

No, as imported. The Filter only continues when the status is exactly valid, so catch-all, unknown and similar statuses stop. Edit the Filter to allow catch-all as well if you are willing to accept those addresses.

Does this create a subscription or charge the customer in Pabbly?

No. The Create Customer step only adds the customer. You can add a plan later in Pabbly, or add FlowMattic's Create Subscription action after the Create Customer step.

Do I need a ZeroBounce account to use this Typeform workflow?

Yes. The Verify Single Email step runs through your ZeroBounce account, which you connect in that step after import. Pabbly Subscription Billing needs its own connection in the last step.
