Turn content ideas into full SEO briefs with an AI agent

Submit a topic through Fluent Forms and an AI agent writes an SEO content brief, saves it as a Google Drive file and opens a ClickUp writing task, then Slack announces the new brief.

The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

A writer works faster from a brief than from a bare keyword. Writing that brief, though, is a task in itself, and ideas pile up waiting for one. This workflow lets anyone on your team submit a topic and get a first brief drafted by an AI agent, with the writing work already queued.

A Fluent Forms submission carries the topic or keyword and any extra notes. The AI Agent is told to create an SEO content brief for that topic, save it to Drive and open a writing task in ClickUp. It has two tools. Google Drive Create File From Text stores the brief, with a file name and content the agent writes. ClickUp Create Task opens the task, with the agent writing the name and description.

The agent works from the keyword, your notes and the model's own knowledge. As imported it has no web tool, so it does not read competitor pages, and nothing in the flow supplies search volumes. Treat the brief as a draft for an editor to check. After the agent, a fixed Slack message says a new brief is ready for the keyword, and it posts on every run. Out of the box, the brief writer runs on OpenAI's GPT-4o.

A content team's idea intake

Marketers drop topic ideas into a short internal form. Each one becomes a brief in Drive and a writing task in ClickUp without a planning meeting.

Agencies briefing freelance writers

An account manager submits the client's target keyword and notes, and the writer gets a ClickUp task and a brief to start from.

Solo bloggers planning ahead

When an idea strikes, you submit it from your phone and find a structured brief waiting in Google Drive the next time you sit down to write.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Fluent Forms New Form Submission

Runs when your Fluent Forms idea form is submitted. The keyword and message fields are passed to the agent, so your form needs fields with those names.

  2. Step 2Action
    AI Agent Execute Agent

The AI Agent writes an SEO content brief for the topic using your notes, then saves it to Google Drive and opens a ClickUp writing task with its tools.

  3. Step 3Tool
Google Drive Create File From Text

Saving the brief is this Drive tool's job. It creates a file from the brief text, with a name the agent chooses. Connect Google Drive and check with a test where the file lands.

  4. Step 4Tool
    ClickUp Create Task

The agent's ClickUp tool. It creates a writing task with a name and description from the agent. Connect ClickUp and confirm with a test run where the task is created.

  5. Step 5Action
    Slack Send Channel Message

After the agent finishes, posts a fixed Slack message saying a new SEO brief is ready for the submitted keyword. Connect Slack and pick the channel.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Fluent Forms PluginPlugin
  • AI ProviderAccount
  • Google Drive AccountAccount
  • ClickUp AccountAccount
  • Slack AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Write your brief template into the agent's instructions, for example the headings you always want such as audience, outline and questions to answer, so every brief has the same shape.
  • Ask the agent to put the Drive file name in the ClickUp task description so the writer can find the brief quickly.
  • Add your site name and audience to the instructions. The agent only sees the keyword and notes, so it otherwise writes for a generic reader.
  • Add the FlowMattic Browser tool to the agent and paste reference or competitor URLs into the form's notes field. The agent can open those pages with Browse URL before drafting. Set up the Cloudflare Browser Rendering credentials in FlowMattic Settings first.

Questions about this workflow

Does the AI agent research live search data for the keyword?

No. There is no SEO data tool, so the brief has no search volumes. As imported the agent cannot open web pages either; add the FlowMattic Browser tool and list competitor URLs in your notes if you want it to read them.

Is the ClickUp task assigned to a writer?

Not by the template. The agent sets only the task name and description. Assign it yourself in ClickUp, or check with a test run what else the ClickUp tool can set.

What format is the Google Drive file?

The tool creates a file from plain text. Open a test brief in Drive to see how it looks, and copy it into a Google Doc if your writers prefer formatting.

Does the Slack message confirm the brief was saved?

Not on its own. It is fixed text that runs after the agent each time. Task History shows whether the Drive and ClickUp tools were called and succeeded.
