Add a Divi Engine form submitter to a Mailchimp audience

Each time someone submits a Divi Engine form on your site, this workflow adds them to the Mailchimp audience you choose, or updates their details if they are already a member.

Divi Engine Mailchimp

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 1.2k sites Free to import

The Add a Divi Engine form submitter to a Mailchimp audience workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Divi Engine, Mailchimp
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

A Divi Engine form on your site collects names and email addresses, but those people are not on your mailing list until someone exports and imports them. This workflow closes that gap: every successful submission is passed straight to Mailchimp.

Divi Engine starts the run once a visitor's Divi form submission goes through. The submitted answers become fields you can map. The Mailchimp step then runs Add New Member, which adds the person to the audience you select. Someone already on that audience is updated in place, so no second copy of the contact appears.

The template ships with empty steps, so after import you connect Mailchimp, pick the audience and map the form's email field, plus any name fields you collect. Every submission goes to Mailchimp, since there is no condition between the two steps. Each run is listed in Task History with the response Mailchimp returned.

Footer newsletter form on a Divi site

A short Divi form in the site footer asks for an email address. Each sign-up lands in your Mailchimp audience, ready for the next campaign.

Download form for a free guide

Visitors fill in a Divi form to get a PDF. Their details go to Mailchimp so you can send the guide link and later emails from there.

Workshop or class sign-ups

A Divi form takes bookings for a free workshop. Every person who books joins the Mailchimp audience, so you can send reminders and later announcements from Mailchimp.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Divi Engine Form Submission

Runs each time a visitor successfully submits a Divi Engine form on your site. The submitted answers are passed on for mapping into Mailchimp.

  2. Step 2Action
    Mailchimp Add New Member

Puts the form submitter on the Mailchimp audience you select; an address that is already there gets its details updated. Map the form's email field and any name fields to the member details.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Divi Engine AccountAccount
  • Mailchimp AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Put a Filter between the two steps that continues only when your consent checkbox has a value. Visitors who leave it empty are then kept off the Mailchimp audience.
  • Run one test submission after import so FlowMattic captures the Divi form's fields, then map them in the Mailchimp step before you turn the workflow on.
  • Using more than one Divi form? Add a Filter on the form's ID or name so only the sign-up form feeds this audience.

Questions about this workflow

What happens if the Divi form submitter is already in my Mailchimp audience?

The step uses Add New Member, which adds a new member or updates them if they already exist. You won't get a duplicate contact.

Does every Divi Engine form on my site trigger this?

Each successful Divi form submission fires the trigger, and the template has no condition. Add a Filter on the form name or ID if you want only one form to feed Mailchimp.

Can I add tags or choose a Mailchimp status?

Open the Mailchimp step after import to see which member options it offers. The template ships with the step unmapped, so you set any options there.

Are past Divi form entries sent to Mailchimp?

No. Only submissions made after you turn the workflow on reach Mailchimp.
