Add a new Monday.com item when an Aha! feature is updated
Every time a feature is updated in Aha, FlowMattic creates a new item on the Monday.com board you choose, so each roadmap change shows up as its own entry where your delivery team plans work.

What this workflow does
Product managers refine features in Aha, while delivery teams often plan and track work in Monday.com. When a feature changes, the people on the board may not hear about it. This workflow records each change as a new item on a Monday.com board, so the board shows a trail of what was updated.
The Aha trigger, Update a feature, fires when a feature is updated. FlowMattic receives the feature's details, such as its name and status, and makes them available to map. The Monday.com step runs Create Item, which adds a new item to a board using the values you map in.
Read the title literally. Create Item always makes a new item; it doesn't find or update the item from a previous change. One feature edited five times gives you five items. That suits a change log board. If you want one item per feature that stays current, this template isn't that, and the tips explain other options. You can review each run, and what Monday.com returned, in Task History.
Change log board for the roadmap
A Monday.com board called Roadmap changes gets a new item for each Aha feature update, giving the team a dated record of every edit.
Delivery lead reviewing the day's edits
The delivery lead checks the board each morning, reads the new items from yesterday's Aha updates and decides which ones affect current work.
Agency tracking client roadmap edits
A client edits features in its Aha account. Your agency's Monday.com board collects each update, so the account team sees what the client changed.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Aha! Update a featureFires when a feature is updated in your Aha account. Edit a test feature after connecting so FlowMattic captures the feature fields you can map.
Monday.com Create ItemCreates a new item on a Monday.com board for each feature update. Connect your Monday.com account, map the feature name and other values into the item, and check a test run to see where it lands.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Aha! AccountAccount
- Monday.com AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Want one Monday.com item per feature instead of one per edit? Switch the trigger to Aha's Create a feature event, which fires once when the feature is added.
- Put the date and the feature's status in the item name, so entries on a busy change log board are easy to tell apart.
- Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when the feature's status equals a value you care about, so routine edits don't add items.
Questions about this workflow
Does each Aha feature update create another Monday.com item?
Yes. Create Item adds a new item every run and doesn't look for one made earlier, so repeated edits to one feature produce several items.
Can this keep one Monday.com item in sync with an Aha feature?
Not as imported. It only creates items. For one item per feature, use Aha's Create a feature trigger instead, which runs once per new feature.
Which Aha feature details can go into the Monday.com item?
Whatever the Update a feature trigger returns. Edit a test feature, then map the captured values, such as name and status, into the item.
Are features updated before import added to Monday.com?
No. Only updates made after you switch the workflow on start a run. Earlier changes in Aha aren't sent to the board.
