Add new Marketo leads to a Google Sheets spreadsheet
Marketo sends new lead events to FlowMattic, and each one is added as a row in a Google Sheets spreadsheet, giving you a lead list people can read without logging in to Marketo.

What this workflow does
Marketo is where your leads live, but not everyone who needs to see them has a Marketo seat. Exporting lists by hand gets stale within a day. This workflow writes each new lead to a Google Sheets spreadsheet as Marketo reports it.
The Marketo trigger receives data for the events you specify in Marketo. For this flow, set Marketo to send only the new-lead event, so changes to existing leads don't add extra rows. FlowMattic passes the lead fields Marketo sends to Google Sheets, where Add New Row writes them into the spreadsheet and columns you pick.
Every event that reaches the trigger adds a row. The sheet is a log, not a synced copy, so later edits in Marketo are not carried over to rows already written.
Share leads with a partner agency
An outside agency follows up on certain leads but has no Marketo access. They work from the shared Google Sheet that fills as leads arrive.
Lead reporting for sales managers
Sales managers build pivot tables and charts in Google Sheets from the lead rows, without waiting for a Marketo report export.
Event sign-up lists
Leads created from a webinar or trade show come in through Marketo. The sheet gives the event team a running list of names on the day.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Marketo Setup WebhooksReceives the events you specify in Marketo. Configure Marketo to send the new-lead event to this trigger's URL, then send a test so FlowMattic captures the lead fields.
Google Sheets Add New RowWrites each lead Marketo reports as one new row in your chosen spreadsheet. Map the Marketo lead fields, such as name, email and company, to the sheet's columns, and connect your Google account.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Marketo AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a header row to the sheet before you map the step, so each Marketo field lines up with a named column.
- If you also want to log lead updates, send them to a second workflow with its own sheet rather than this one, so the new-lead list stays clean.
- Add a Filter after the trigger if only some new leads belong in the sheet, for example leads whose source field matches a campaign name.
Questions about this workflow
Which Marketo events should I send to this workflow?
Only the new-lead event. The trigger accepts whatever events you set up in Marketo, and every event it receives adds a row, so sending updates as well would fill the sheet with repeats.
Does editing a lead in Marketo change its Google Sheets row?
No. Add New Row only appends. Rows already in the sheet stay as they were written.
Which Marketo fields can I put in the sheet?
The ones Marketo includes in the data it sends. Send a test lead after import and map whatever fields appear in the trigger's response.
Will existing Marketo leads be copied over?
No. Only leads Marketo sends after the connection is in place reach the sheet. Export older leads from Marketo if you need them there.
