Add new Unbounce form submissions to VBOUT contact lists

Each time someone fills in a form on one of your Unbounce landing pages, this workflow adds them as a contact to a Vbout list, ready for the campaigns and automations you run there.

What this workflow does

Landing pages exist to collect leads, and those leads are only useful once they reach the tool that emails them. Exporting Unbounce leads and importing them into Vbout by hand leaves gaps of days, and the people who just asked for something hear nothing. This workflow moves each lead across as the form is sent.

The Unbounce trigger, New Form Submission, fires when a visitor submits a form on your landing page. The answers come into FlowMattic as data you can map. The Vbout step then runs Add Contact to List, which adds the person to the Vbout list you choose, using the email and any other answers you map.

Every submission is sent on, because there is no Filter in the template. A visitor who fills in the form twice is sent to Vbout twice, and Vbout decides how to handle an address already on the list. Task History records each run with Vbout's reply.

Ebook download page

An Unbounce page offers a guide in exchange for an email. Each person who asks for it joins a Vbout list that runs your follow-up sequence.

Paid ad campaign landing pages

Leads from a paid campaign's Unbounce page go into a campaign-specific Vbout list, so you can email them separately from organic sign-ups.

Event registration page

People who register for a webinar on an Unbounce page land in a Vbout list for reminders and the replay link.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Unbounce New Form Submission

Fires when a visitor submits a form on your Unbounce landing page. Each answer from the form becomes available to map into Vbout.

  2. Step 2Action
    Vbout Add Contact to List

Adds the person to a Vbout list as a contact. Connect your Vbout account, pick the list, and map the email answer plus any name fields from the Unbounce form.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Unbounce AccountAccount
  • VBOUT AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Send a test submission from the live Unbounce page after import, so FlowMattic captures the field names you need to map into Vbout.
  • Use one Vbout list per landing page by importing the workflow once for each page, which keeps campaign leads apart.
  • Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when a consent checkbox on the Unbounce form is ticked, if your page asks for one.

Questions about this workflow

Which Unbounce page does this workflow listen to?

The page you connect to the trigger after import. Each landing page needs to send its submissions to FlowMattic for the workflow to run.

What if the Unbounce lead is already in my Vbout list?

Vbout handles the repeat on its side. Submit the form with an address already on the list and read Vbout's response in Task History.

Are leads collected before I set this up sent to Vbout?

No. Only submissions made after the workflow is on reach Vbout. Move older leads with an export from Unbounce and an import into Vbout.

Can Unbounce leads also be tagged in Vbout?

Yes, with an extra step. Vbout's Add Tags to Contact action can follow Add Contact to List, using the same email address.
