Add new Wyng form respondents to a Mailchimp audience
Each new Wyng form entry sends the respondent to your Mailchimp audience, added as a member or updated if they are already there, so people from your Wyng experiences reach your email list.

What this workflow does
Wyng forms and experiences collect respondents who often agree to hear from you, but those addresses stay in Wyng until someone exports them. This workflow moves each respondent into Mailchimp as the entry arrives, so they are on your list before your next send.
The Wyng trigger, New Form Entries, fires for each new form entry. FlowMattic passes the entry's answers to the Mailchimp step, Add New Member, which adds the person to the audience you choose. If the email address is already in that audience, Mailchimp updates the existing member instead of adding a second one.
You map the Wyng email field to the member's email, plus any name fields you collect. Every entry runs the step, since the template has no Filter. For any respondent, you can open Task History to see what reached Mailchimp and what it answered.
Contest or sweepstakes sign-ups
Entrants who opt in on a Wyng contest form join your Mailchimp audience, ready for the winner announcement and later campaigns.
Quiz results follow-up
A product quiz built in Wyng collects an email. Each respondent becomes a Mailchimp member you can send their recommendations to.
Event interest list
A Wyng form on a launch page gathers interested visitors, and Mailchimp holds them for the announcement email on launch day.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Wyng New Form EntriesFires for each new Wyng form entry. The respondent's answers, including the email they gave, become available to map into Mailchimp.
Mailchimp Add New MemberAdds the respondent to your Mailchimp audience, or updates them if their email is already a member. Map the Wyng email field and any name fields you collect.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Wyng AccountAccount
- Mailchimp AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- If your Wyng form has a marketing consent checkbox, add a Filter after the trigger so only respondents who ticked it reach Mailchimp.
- Add Mailchimp's Add Member Tag action after this step to tag members by the Wyng campaign they came from.
- Submit a test entry in Wyng after import so FlowMattic captures the answers, then map the email and name fields in the Mailchimp step.
Questions about this workflow
What if a Wyng respondent is already in my Mailchimp audience?
Add New Member updates an existing member instead of creating a duplicate, per FlowMattic's description of the action. Their details are refreshed with what you map from the entry.
Does every Wyng entry go to Mailchimp?
Yes, as imported. There is no Filter, so each New Form Entries event runs the Mailchimp step. Add a Filter if some entries shouldn't be added.
Does the Wyng form need an email field?
Yes. Mailchimp identifies members by email address, so the form must collect one for the step to add the person.
Can I send Wyng respondents to more than one Mailchimp audience?
Add another Add New Member step pointed at the second audience. Each step adds or updates the person in its own audience.
