Create a HubSpot CRM contact for each new Benchmark Email subscriber
Whenever someone is added as a subscriber in Benchmark Email, this workflow creates a matching contact in HubSpot CRM, so your sales team sees new names from your email list without an export.

What this workflow does
Your newsletter list and your CRM tend to drift apart. People sign up in Benchmark Email, but your sales team works in HubSpot, and nobody wants to export a CSV each week to bring the two together. This workflow copies each new subscriber across as it arrives.
The Benchmark Email trigger fires when a new subscriber is added to your account. FlowMattic receives that subscriber's details and hands them to HubSpot CRM, where the Create Contact action adds a new contact record. You decide which Benchmark values go into which HubSpot contact properties when you map the step.
The flow has no Filter, so every subscriber Benchmark reports becomes a HubSpot contact. Create Contact only creates, so HubSpot may refuse an address it already holds. Task History shows each run and HubSpot's response, which is where you check whether a contact was made.
Newsletter readers handed to sales
Your Benchmark Email sign-up form collects readers of a product newsletter. Each one appears in HubSpot as a contact your sales reps can look at and reach out to.
Event list built in Benchmark
You add webinar registrants to a Benchmark Email list. Each addition also lands in HubSpot, so the follow-up after the event happens from your CRM.
One contact record for marketing and sales
Marketing keeps sending campaigns from Benchmark while the sales team logs calls and deals against the same people in HubSpot, without anyone copying names between tools.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Benchmark Email Subscriber AddedFires when a new subscriber is added in your Benchmark Email account. The subscriber's details from Benchmark become data you can map in the HubSpot step.
HubSpot CRM Create ContactAdds the Benchmark subscriber to HubSpot CRM as a fresh contact record. Map the subscriber's email address and any name values Benchmark sends to the matching contact properties, then connect your HubSpot account.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Benchmark Email AccountAccount
- HubSpot CRM AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Run a test after import by adding yourself as a Benchmark Email subscriber. FlowMattic then captures the real subscriber data, and you can see which values are available before you map the HubSpot step.
- If you only want subscribers from one Benchmark list in HubSpot, add a Filter after the trigger on the list value, if the test run shows one. Check the sample data first.
- Add a Google Sheets Add New Row step after HubSpot if you want a running log of every subscriber the workflow sent across.
Questions about this workflow
What if the Benchmark subscriber is already a HubSpot contact?
This HubSpot action never edits a contact that is already there. HubSpot may refuse a duplicate email address, and that run's HubSpot step then shows the error in Task History. Nothing about the earlier HubSpot record changes.
Are my current Benchmark Email subscribers copied to HubSpot?
No. The trigger reacts to subscribers added after you turn the workflow on. People already on your Benchmark lists stay where they are unless you move them some other way.
Does an unsubscribe in Benchmark remove the HubSpot contact?
No. This workflow only listens for new subscribers. Benchmark Email has a separate Unsubscribe trigger in FlowMattic if you want a second workflow to react to opt-outs.
Which HubSpot contact properties get filled?
Just the HubSpot properties you fill in while mapping this step. Check a test run to see which subscriber values Benchmark sends, then map the email and any others you need.
