Create new booking page in Sessions when invoice is paid in Stripe

When a Stripe invoice payment succeeds, this workflow creates a booking page in Sessions, so a client who has paid has a place to book time with you without you setting it up by hand.

What this workflow does

Coaches, consultants and agencies often bill first and schedule second. Once the invoice is paid, someone has to open Sessions, make a booking page and send it over. This workflow takes the first part of that job off your list by creating the page the moment Stripe reports the payment.

The Stripe trigger listens for the Invoice Payment Succeeded event, which Stripe sends whenever an attempt to pay an invoice goes through. FlowMattic then hands the invoice data to Sessions and runs its Create Booking Page action. You decide which invoice details go into the new page, such as the customer name in its title.

Nothing else happens after the page is made: the link is not sent anywhere, so add a step for that if your client should receive it. Subscription renewals in Stripe are billed through invoices too, so each paid renewal starts a run and creates another page. Task History lists every run with the data each step received.

Paid discovery calls for a consultant

A client pays the invoice for a strategy call, and a Sessions booking page appears for that client, ready for you to share.

Coaching packages billed in Stripe

Each package invoice that is paid gives the coach a fresh booking page in Sessions named after the client, instead of one shared page for everyone.

Onboarding sessions after a setup fee

An agency invoices a setup fee, and once it clears, a booking page for the kickoff meeting is waiting in Sessions.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Stripe Invoice Payment Succeeded

Starts a run whenever a Stripe invoice payment attempt succeeds. The invoice details, including the customer and amount, become available to map in the Sessions step.

  2. Step 2Action
    Sessions Create Booking Page

Creates a booking page in your Sessions account. Connect Sessions on import and map invoice values, such as the customer name, into the page details. Run a test to see what the action accepts.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Stripe AccountAccount
  • Sessions AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a Filter after the Stripe trigger that checks the invoice amount or description, so only invoices for bookable services create a page.
  • Add an email step after Sessions that sends the client the booking page details returned by the Create Booking Page action.
  • Pay a test invoice in Stripe test mode after import, then open Task History to see the invoice fields you can map into the Sessions step.

Questions about this workflow

Does every paid Stripe invoice create a Sessions booking page?

Yes, as imported. Any invoice payment that succeeds starts a run, including subscription renewals. Add a Filter after the trigger if only some invoices should create a page.

Does the client receive the Sessions booking link automatically?

No. The workflow creates the page in Sessions and stops. Add an email or messaging step after it if you want the link sent to the client.

What happens with a failed Stripe invoice payment?

Nothing. The trigger fires only when a payment attempt succeeds, so failed attempts do not start a run or create a page.

Do I need accounts with both Stripe and Sessions?

Yes. You connect your Stripe account for the trigger and your Sessions account for the booking page action when you import the workflow.
