Log every answered TeleCMI call in a Google Sheets spreadsheet

Each incoming call answered through TeleCMI adds its call record to a row in Google Sheets, building a call log your team can sort, filter and review without opening TeleCMI.

TeleCMI Google Sheets

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 1.3k sites Free to import

The Log every answered TeleCMI call in a Google Sheets spreadsheet workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across TeleCMI, Google Sheets
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Call records are useful long after the call ends. Managers review who handled which calls, sales teams look back at conversations, and support leads track volume over a week. This workflow copies each answered incoming call from TeleCMI into a Google Sheet, so that history sits in a spreadsheet anyone on the team can read.

The TeleCMI trigger fires on Incoming Answered CDR, the call detail record TeleCMI produces for an incoming call that was answered. FlowMattic passes that record to Google Sheets Add New Row, which writes the values you map into the spreadsheet you choose.

Only answered incoming calls start the workflow. Missed calls and outgoing calls are separate TeleCMI events and are not logged by this template. Take a test call after import to see which values the record holds, then map them to your columns.

Weekly call reviews

A support lead filters the sheet by week to see how many incoming calls were answered and by whom.

Sales call history

Sales reps check the shared sheet to see when a prospect last called in before they ring back.

Reporting for managers without TeleCMI access

Managers who don't use TeleCMI can still read the call log and build charts from it in Google Sheets.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    TeleCMI Incoming Answered CDR

Starts the workflow when TeleCMI records an answered incoming call. The call detail record is passed to the Google Sheets step.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Adds the call record as a new row in the spreadsheet you choose. Map the TeleCMI values to your columns and connect your Google account on import.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • TeleCMI AccountAccount
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add column headings to your sheet before import, so they are listed in the Add New Row step when you map the call values.
  • Want missed calls too? Copy the workflow, switch its trigger to TeleCMI's missed-call event, and point it at another tab in the same sheet.
  • Add a Filter after the trigger to log only calls longer than a set number of seconds, if the record includes a duration value.

Questions about this workflow

Are missed or outgoing TeleCMI calls logged?

No. The trigger is Incoming Answered CDR, so only answered incoming calls create a row.

Does the sheet hold call recordings?

Only what the call record contains and you map. Check a test call to see whether TeleCMI includes a recording link in the data.

Will calls from before I import the workflow show up?

No. The workflow logs calls answered after it is turned on.

It's very straightforward, has a lot integrations and they work well. It is one thing to 'integrate' new external software, but integrating it well, with lots of options is where FlowMattic shines.
