Log every new Poptin lead in a Google Sheets spreadsheet
Every lead your Poptin popups and forms capture is added as a new row in a Google Sheets spreadsheet, giving you one running list of sign-ups you can sort, share or import elsewhere.

What this workflow does
Poptin collects email addresses and other details through popups and embedded forms. Looking at those leads inside Poptin is fine for a quick check, but sharing them with a colleague, comparing campaigns or moving them into another tool is easier from a spreadsheet. This workflow keeps that spreadsheet filled for you.
The Poptin trigger is New Lead. It fires when a lead is captured through a Poptin conversion. FlowMattic then passes the lead's data to Google Sheets, where the Add New Row action writes it to the sheet you choose. You decide which column holds which value, such as the email, the name or the popup it came from.
Each lead gets its own row in the order it arrives. The workflow does not check for duplicates, so someone who signs up twice appears twice. Task History shows each run, which helps when a row seems to be missing.
Compare popup campaigns
Map the popup or form name to its own column. After a week you can sort the sheet and see which Poptin campaign brought in more sign-ups.
Share discount sign-ups with a store manager
A shop runs a first-order discount popup. The manager checks the sheet each morning without needing a Poptin login.
Batch import into another email tool
You collect leads in the sheet and import them into your email platform in batches, deleting the rows you have already moved.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Poptin New LeadRuns when Poptin captures a new lead through one of your popups or forms. The lead's data is passed on to the spreadsheet step.
Google Sheets Add New RowWrites the Poptin lead into a fresh row at the bottom of your chosen sheet. Connect your Google account, pick the sheet and map each column to a Poptin lead value.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Poptin AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Set up a header row in the sheet before you map the step, so each column has a clear name to match against the Poptin fields.
- Add a Filter after the trigger if you only want leads from one popup in this sheet, and duplicate the workflow for a second sheet with another popup.
- Keep the spreadsheet for this workflow only. Writing rows into it from other tools makes it harder to tell which entries came from Poptin.
Questions about this workflow
Will leads Poptin captured before import reach the sheet?
No. Only leads captured after the workflow is turned on create rows. Leads already in Poptin stay where they are.
Does the Google Sheets step remove duplicate Poptin leads?
No. Each new lead adds a row, even if the same email signed up before. Use the sheet's own tools to spot and remove repeated addresses.
Which Poptin fields can I put in the sheet?
Whatever Poptin sends with the lead. Capture a test lead after import, then map the values it shows into your columns.
Can I send the Poptin lead to my CRM as well?
Yes. Add another action after the Google Sheets step, such as your CRM's create contact action, and map the same lead values.
