Log every new Uptime.com alert in a Google Sheets incident sheet
Every new alert from Uptime.com adds a row to a Google Sheets incident log, so you build a record of outages and checks you can review, filter and share in a plain spreadsheet.

What this workflow does
Monitoring alerts tell you something is wrong right now, but later you want the history. Monthly reports, client reviews and post-incident notes all need a list of what happened and when. This workflow keeps that list for you in Google Sheets by adding a row for each Uptime.com alert.
The Uptime.com trigger fires on New Alert and passes the alert's details to FlowMattic. The second step, Google Sheets Add New Row, writes those details to the spreadsheet you pick. You decide which alert values go in which column.
The sheet only grows. The workflow does not change or close an existing row, so each alert is its own line. Set up your column headings before import, then trigger a test alert so you can map its values and check the first row.
Monthly uptime reports for clients
An agency logs every Uptime.com alert for its client sites, then filters the sheet by month when writing each client's report.
Post-incident reviews
During a review the team opens the incident sheet to see the run of alerts around an outage in order.
Sharing status with non-technical staff
Managers who don't log in to Uptime.com can read the shared sheet to see what alerts came in this week.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Uptime.com New AlertStarts the workflow when Uptime.com raises a new alert on your connected account. The alert's details are passed to the Google Sheets step.
Google Sheets Add New RowWrites a new row in the Google Sheets spreadsheet you choose. Map the alert's values to your columns, and connect your Google account on import.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Uptime.com AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a column for when the alert arrived, using a time value from the alert if a test run shows one, so you can sort the log in order.
- Add a Slack or Telegram step after the sheet if you also want the alert pushed to your team as it happens.
- Use a Filter after the trigger to log only alerts from certain checks, once a test alert shows which values Uptime.com sends.
Questions about this workflow
Does a recovery alert from Uptime.com update the original row?
No. This template never edits a row it has written. Any alert that reaches the trigger becomes its own new row.
Can several Uptime.com checks log to one sheet?
Yes. The trigger listens to alerts from your connected account, so every alert it receives goes to the same spreadsheet unless you add a Filter or Router.
Will alerts from before I import the workflow appear?
No. Only new alerts after the workflow is turned on are written to Google Sheets.
