Log new Fathom meeting summaries in a Google Sheets spreadsheet

When Fathom finishes processing a meeting, this workflow adds the meeting’s content to a new row in Google Sheets, so you build a log of your calls that you can search, sort and share.

The Log new Fathom meeting summaries in a Google Sheets spreadsheet workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Fathom, Google Sheets
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Fathom records and summarises your calls, but each summary sits in its own meeting page. Looking back across weeks of calls, or handing a manager a list of what was discussed, is easier from one spreadsheet. This workflow adds a row to Google Sheets for every meeting Fathom processes.

The Fathom trigger fires when a meeting has been processed and its content is ready. FlowMattic receives that meeting data and passes it to Google Sheets, which adds a new row to the spreadsheet you pick. You decide which Fathom values go into which columns, for example the meeting title in one column and the summary in another.

Each processed meeting adds one row. The sheet is never edited after that. Run one test meeting after import to see exactly which values Fathom sends, and check Task History if a row does not appear.

Sales call log for a team lead

Every recorded sales call gets a row with its summary, so the team lead reads through the week's calls in one sheet instead of opening each meeting.

Client account history

Account managers keep a running sheet of every client call, which helps when someone new takes over the account.

Interview notes for hiring

Recorded interviews land in a shared sheet the hiring panel can sort by date when comparing candidates.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Fathom New Meeting Content Ready

Fires when Fathom finishes processing a meeting and its content is available. The meeting's data is passed on for mapping into the sheet.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Adds a row to the Google Sheets spreadsheet you choose for each processed meeting. Connect your Google account and map the Fathom values to your column headers.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Fathom AccountAccount
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Set up column headers in the sheet before mapping, then record a short test meeting so FlowMattic captures real Fathom data to map into each column.
  • Add a Filter after the trigger that checks a value such as the meeting title, if you only want certain kinds of calls in this sheet.
  • Long summaries fit better in a wide column with text wrapping turned on, which keeps the sheet readable as rows build up.

Questions about this workflow

Which Fathom meeting details can go into the sheet?

Any value Fathom includes in the meeting data it sends. Record a test meeting after import and look at the trigger data in FlowMattic to see what is available.

Are meetings recorded before I import the Fathom workflow added?

No. Only meetings processed after you turn the workflow on reach the sheet.

Can the Fathom summaries go to a shared team spreadsheet?

Yes. Pick any spreadsheet the connected Google account can edit, including one shared with your team.

It's very straightforward, has a lot integrations and they work well. It is one thing to 'integrate' new external software, but integrating it well, with lots of options is where FlowMattic shines.
