Send a Slack alert when an IdentityCheck verification decision is returned
When IdentityCheck sends the result of a KYC check, this workflow posts a message to the Slack channel you pick, so your team sees each verification decision without watching the IdentityCheck dashboard.

What this workflow does
Identity checks often hold up an account opening, a payout or an onboarding call. Whoever handles the next step needs to know as soon as IdentityCheck has an answer, and checking a dashboard all day is not practical. This workflow puts each decision in front of your team in Slack.
The IdentityCheck Verification Decision trigger fires when the KYC process sends its results. FlowMattic passes that result to Slack, and Send Channel Message posts to the channel you choose. You write the message and map in details from the result, such as who was checked and what the decision was.
Every decision is posted, whatever the outcome, because the template has no Filter. Keep in mind that identity results are personal data: post them to a channel that only the right people can read, and include only the details they need. You can review every IdentityCheck run, and what reached Slack, in Task History.
Compliance team watching KYC results
Each IdentityCheck decision appears in a compliance channel, so the reviewer on duty can open any case that needs a closer look.
Onboarding team waiting to activate accounts
Customer success sees in Slack when a new client's verification comes back, and can start the welcome call without asking anyone.
Payout or rental checks
Staff who release payouts or hand over keys get the verification result in Slack before they act, instead of checking another system.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
IdentityCheck Verification DecisionRuns when the IdentityCheck KYC process sends results for a verification. The decision and the data that come with it are passed on for mapping into the Slack message.
Slack Send Channel MessageSends a message into the Slack channel you choose for each decision. Write the text and map in details from the IdentityCheck result so the team can see who was checked and the outcome.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- IdentityCheck AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a Filter after the trigger so only certain decisions reach Slack, for example rejected or flagged results, once a test run shows how IdentityCheck labels them.
- For a private channel, use Slack's Send Private Channel Message action instead, and to alert one reviewer, use Send Direct Message.
- Keep the Slack message short and leave out document numbers or images. Point people to IdentityCheck itself for the full details.
Questions about this workflow
Does the Slack alert fire for approved and rejected IdentityCheck results?
Yes. The trigger fires whenever the KYC process sends results, and there is no Filter, so every decision is posted. Add a Filter if you only want some outcomes.
What IdentityCheck details can I put in the Slack message?
Whatever IdentityCheck includes with the decision. Run a verification after import and look at the trigger's captured data in FlowMattic to see what you can map.
Does this change anything in IdentityCheck?
No. The workflow only reads the decision and posts to Slack. It doesn't approve, reject or update anything in IdentityCheck.
