When a booking is created in TuCalendi, check if the email is valid with MailRefine, and create a new lead in Maillbluster

Each new TuCalendi booking has its email address checked by MailRefine, then the person is created as a lead in Mailbluster, with the verification result there for you to map or filter on.

The When a booking is created in TuCalendi, check if the email is valid with MailRefine, and create a new lead in Maillbluster workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across TuCalendi, MailRefine, Mailbluster
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Booking forms collect email addresses that you later want to market to. Some are mistyped, and a few are made up. Checking each address with a verification service before it reaches your mailing tool lets you see which bookings came with a working address.

The TuCalendi trigger fires when a new booking is created. FlowMattic sends the booking's email address to MailRefine with the Verify Single Email action, and MailRefine's response becomes data you can use in the next step. The last step runs Create a New Lead in Mailbluster for the person who booked.

As imported, the lead is created for every booking, whatever MailRefine says. Nothing stops an address that failed the check. If you only want verified addresses in Mailbluster, add a Filter between MailRefine and Mailbluster that continues on the result MailRefine gives for a valid address. None of the three steps have fields mapped yet, so map the booking email into MailRefine and the booking details into Mailbluster after import.

Consultant taking discovery calls

Prospects book a call through TuCalendi. Each one is checked by MailRefine and added to Mailbluster, so your follow-up list starts with the people who booked.

Class or workshop bookings

Attendees book a session, and their address is verified before they join the Mailbluster list you use for class updates.

Spotting mistyped booking emails

When MailRefine reports an address as invalid, you can see it in Task History and contact the person another way before the appointment.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    TuCalendi New Booking Created

Starts the workflow when a new booking is created in TuCalendi. The booking details, including the person's email, are passed to the next two steps. Connect TuCalendi on import.

  2. Step 2Action
    MailRefine Verify Single Email

Sends the booking email address to MailRefine to verify it. Connect your MailRefine account and map the TuCalendi email into the step. The verification response is then available to the Mailbluster step.

  3. Step 3Action
    Mailbluster Create a New Lead

Creates a new lead in Mailbluster for the person who booked. Connect Mailbluster and map the booking details into the step. As imported, this runs for every booking regardless of the MailRefine result.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • TuCalendi AccountAccount
  • MailRefine AccountAccount
  • Mailbluster AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add a Filter between MailRefine and Mailbluster that continues only when the verification result matches a valid address, so failed addresses never become leads.
  • Make a test booking with your own email and one with a made-up address, then compare MailRefine's two responses in Task History to see which value to filter on.
  • If you keep failed addresses, map MailRefine's result into a Mailbluster field so you can segment on it later, if your Mailbluster setup has a field for it.

Questions about this workflow

Will a booking with a bad email still become a Mailbluster lead?

Not as imported. Every booking creates a lead. Add a Filter after the MailRefine step if you want only verified addresses passed on.

Do I need a MailRefine account to check TuCalendi emails?

Yes. The Verify Single Email step runs through your MailRefine account, which you connect after import.

Does the MailRefine check affect the TuCalendi booking?

No. FlowMattic runs the check after TuCalendi has saved the appointment, and the result is only used inside the workflow.

What if the person booked before and is already a Mailbluster lead?

The step is Create a New Lead. Book a second test appointment with the same email and check Task History to see how Mailbluster responds.

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.
