When a new Shoprocket order comes in, log it in Google Sheets and notify the team in Slack
Each new Shoprocket order is written to a row in Google Sheets, then announced in a Slack channel, so you keep a running order log and your team hears about sales as they come in.

What this workflow does
Shoprocket keeps your store's orders in its own dashboard. Many teams still want a spreadsheet they can sort, total and share, plus a quick note in Slack when a sale comes in. This workflow gives you both from one trigger.
The Shoprocket trigger starts a run as soon as a shopper's order is created. FlowMattic sends the order details to Google Sheets, which adds a new row with the values you map to each column. The run then goes on to Slack and posts a message about the order in the channel you choose.
Every new order gives you one sheet row and one Slack message. The trigger is Order Created, so later changes to an order, such as a status update, do not add another row. Task History lists each run, which is handy when you check that totals and customer names land in the right columns.
A sales log for a small online shop
You sell prints through Shoprocket on your portfolio site. The sheet becomes your order log, and you total it at the end of each month.
Alerting the packing team
The person who packs orders watches a #new-orders Slack channel. Each Shoprocket order posts there, so they know what to prepare.
Sharing sales with a partner
A business partner without Shoprocket access reads the shared Google Sheet, while the team keeps the Slack alerts for day-to-day work.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Shoprocket Order CreatedStarts the run for each order placed in your Shoprocket store. The order details are passed on so the Google Sheets and Slack steps can use them.
Google Sheets Add New RowAdds a row for the order to the spreadsheet and sheet you pick. Connect your Google account and map Shoprocket order values to your columns.
Slack Send Channel MessageSends a message about the new order to a Slack channel. Connect Slack, choose the channel, and build the text from the order details.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Shoprocket AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
- Slack AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Set up the column headers in your sheet before you map the Add New Row step, so each Shoprocket value has a named column to go into.
- If only larger orders should be announced, add a Filter between the Google Sheets step and the Slack step. The sheet still logs every order, because the Filter sits after it.
- Place one test order in Shoprocket after import so FlowMattic captures real order fields. Map them in both steps before you switch the workflow on.
Questions about this workflow
Does an updated Shoprocket order add a second row?
No. The trigger is Order Created, so it runs once for each new order. Shoprocket's Order Updated trigger is a separate event this template does not use.
Which Shoprocket order details reach Google Sheets?
The ones you map. Each value from the order can go into its own column, and anything you leave unmapped is not written.
Can the Slack message show the Shoprocket order total?
Yes, if the Order Created data includes it. Place a test order, look at the trigger data in Task History, and map the total and the customer's name into the Slack text.
Can past Shoprocket orders be added to the sheet?
Not with this workflow. It reacts to orders created after it is turned on. Copy earlier Shoprocket orders into the sheet by hand if you want them there too.
