Log every new Fourthwall order placed in a Google Sheets spreadsheet

Each time an order is placed in your Fourthwall shop, this workflow adds a row to Google Sheets with the order details you map, giving you a sales log you can sort, share and chart.

The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Creators who sell merch through Fourthwall often want their own record of sales: to share with a partner, to plan restocks or to build a simple revenue chart. Exporting orders now and then works, but the sheet is always out of date. This workflow adds each order to a spreadsheet as it is placed.

The Fourthwall trigger fires when an order is placed in your shop, and FlowMattic receives the order data Fourthwall sends. The Google Sheets step writes the order into a fresh row of the file and tab you selected. You pick which order values fill which columns, such as the order number, buyer, items and total.

The row captures the order at the moment it was placed. Shipping updates, refunds or cancellations later on don't change it. Every run is listed in Task History with the Fourthwall data and the row that went to Google Sheets.

Merch sales shared with a band

A band sells shirts on Fourthwall. Every member opens the same Google Sheet to see what sold, without needing a login to the shop.

Restock planning for a creator shop

You sort the sheet by product each month to see which designs sell most, then reorder or retire items based on the list.

Revenue tracking for a channel

A YouTube creator charts Fourthwall order totals by week next to other income, all in one spreadsheet.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Fourthwall Order Placed

Runs when an order is placed in your Fourthwall shop. The order data Fourthwall sends is passed on for mapping into spreadsheet columns.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Puts each Fourthwall order on its own row in the Google Sheets file and tab you select. Connect your Google account, then map order values to your column headers.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Fourthwall AccountAccount
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Write your column headers in the sheet first, then place a test order or wait for a real one so FlowMattic captures Fourthwall's order data for mapping.
  • Add a Slack or Discord step after Google Sheets if you also want a message for each sale, using the same Fourthwall order values.
  • If an order can hold several products, map the item values into one cell first, check a multi-item order in Task History, and adjust the mapping if the cell needs a cleaner format.

Questions about this workflow

Does the sheet update when a Fourthwall order ships or is refunded?

No. The workflow adds one row when the order is placed and doesn't edit it afterwards. Later changes stay in Fourthwall.

Are past Fourthwall orders added to the spreadsheet?

No. Only orders placed after you turn the workflow on start a run. Add earlier orders to the sheet yourself if you want a complete history.

Which Fourthwall order details can go into Google Sheets?

Whatever Fourthwall includes with the Order Placed event. After the first order comes through, the Google Sheets step shows the captured values you can map.

Can Fourthwall orders go to a specific tab?

Yes. You choose both the spreadsheet and the sheet tab in the Google Sheets step.

It's very straightforward, has a lot integrations and they work well. It is one thing to 'integrate' new external software, but integrating it well, with lots of options is where FlowMattic shines.
