When a new submission is received in FormKeep, add a new subscriber to MailerLite

When your FormKeep form receives a new submission, this workflow creates the person as a MailerLite subscriber, or updates them if they already exist, so form sign-ups reach your email list without exports.

FormKeep MailerLite

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 2.0k sites Free to import

The When a new submission is received in FormKeep, add a new subscriber to MailerLite workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across FormKeep, MailerLite
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

FormKeep collects form submissions from static sites and landing pages. If those people should hear from you by email, their details need to be in MailerLite, and copying them over by hand means delays and missed sign-ups. This workflow moves each one across as it arrives.

Each new entry reaching your FormKeep form starts the workflow. FlowMattic passes the submitted fields to MailerLite, whose Create or Update Subscriber action adds a new subscriber, or updates the existing one, with the email and any custom fields you map.

Every submission goes to MailerLite, since the template has no conditions. Someone who fills in the form twice is updated rather than added again. You can follow each run, and any error MailerLite returns, in Task History.

Static site newsletter form

A developer's blog runs on a static site with a FormKeep sign-up form. Each reader who signs up becomes a MailerLite subscriber ready for the next newsletter.

Ebook download page

A landing page asks for an email address before a download. The address goes to MailerLite so the visitor can receive your follow-up sequence.

Event interest form

People register interest in an upcoming workshop through FormKeep and are added to MailerLite for announcements about dates and tickets.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    FormKeep New Submission

Starts a run for every entry your FormKeep form collects. The submitted fields are passed on to the MailerLite step.

  2. Step 2Action
    MailerLite Create or Update Subscriber

Creates a MailerLite subscriber from the submission, or updates the subscriber if the email is already there. Map the email field and any custom fields you collect.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • FormKeep AccountAccount
  • MailerLite AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Add MailerLite's Add Subscriber to a Group action after this step if you want FormKeep sign-ups kept in their own group.
  • Use a Filter after the trigger to continue only when the consent checkbox on your form is ticked, so only people who opted in are added.
  • Send a test submission through your FormKeep form after import so FlowMattic captures its field names for mapping.

Questions about this workflow

What if the email is already a MailerLite subscriber?

The action is Create or Update Subscriber, so the existing subscriber is updated with the new data instead of being duplicated.

Do I need custom fields set up in MailerLite first?

Only if you want to store extra form answers. Create the fields in MailerLite, then map the matching FormKeep values to them.

Will older FormKeep submissions be added?

No. Only submissions received after the workflow is on reach MailerLite.

Can I put FormKeep subscribers into a MailerLite group?

Yes. Add the Add Subscriber to a Group action after the subscriber step and choose the group.
