Verify the email of each new Typeform submission with Emailable and log it in Google Sheets

Each new Typeform response has its email address checked by Emailable, and the answers plus the verification result are written to a new row in Google Sheets for review.

Typeform Emailable Google Sheets

3 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 1.7k sites Free to import

The Verify the email of each new Typeform submission with Emailable and log it in Google Sheets workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across Typeform, Emailable, Google Sheets
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

A spreadsheet of form responses is far more useful when you can see at a glance which email addresses are real. This workflow adds that column for you: every Typeform submission is checked with Emailable before it lands in Google Sheets, so the result sits next to the answers.

The Typeform trigger fires on each new submission and passes the answers to FlowMattic. The Emailable Verify Single Email step then checks the email answer and returns a verification result.

Last, the Google Sheets step adds one row per response. Every submission is logged, valid address or not; the template doesn't filter on the result. After import, connect your accounts, map the email answer into Emailable, then choose the spreadsheet and map the Typeform answers and the Emailable result into your columns.

Run a test response first and open Task History to see which fields Emailable returns. That tells you which value to put in the result column, and which one to check if you later want to treat bad addresses differently.

Lead list with a validity column

A marketing team collects webinar registrations in Typeform and sorts the Google Sheet by the Emailable result to see which leads to follow up first.

Survey responses you can trust

A researcher running a Typeform survey with a prize draw reviews the sheet and leaves out entries whose email Emailable marked as undeliverable.

Clean import for a CRM

An agency exports the sheet once a week, keeps the rows with a valid result and imports them into the client's CRM.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Typeform New Form Submission

Fires on every new Typeform submission. The respondent's answers, including the email address, are passed to Emailable and to the sheet.

  2. Step 2Action
    Emailable Verify Single Email

Checks the respondent's email address with Emailable and returns the result. Map the Typeform email answer into the step after import, then look at a test run for the fields it returns.

  3. Step 3Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Adds a row to your Google Sheet for each response, whatever Emailable returned. Pick the spreadsheet and sheet, then map the answers and the verification result into your columns.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Typeform AccountAccount
  • Emailable AccountAccount
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Give the sheet a dedicated Email Status column for the Emailable result, so you can filter or sort by it in Google Sheets.
  • To log only valid addresses, put a Filter between the Emailable step and the Google Sheets step that checks the result field. Take the value to match from a test run.
  • If the Typeform data includes a submission time, map it into its own column so you can line the rows up with your form's own responses view.

Questions about this workflow

Are Typeform responses with invalid emails still added to Google Sheets?

Yes. As imported, every response gets a row and the Emailable result is just another value you map. Add a Filter between the Emailable and Google Sheets steps if invalid addresses should be left out.

Does the respondent see that their email was checked?

No. Emailable checks the address in the background after the form is submitted. Nothing is sent to the respondent by this workflow.

Do I need an Emailable account for this Typeform workflow?

Yes. The Verify Single Email step uses your Emailable account, and each Typeform response runs one check.
