When new form submission is received in AidaForm, upload the files to Google Drive
When someone submits an AidaForm form with a file attached, FlowMattic uploads the file to a Google Drive folder you choose, so uploads from your forms end up in one shared place without manual downloads.

What this workflow does
Forms that collect files, such as CVs, photos or signed documents, leave you with attachments spread across individual responses. Downloading each one and filing it in Drive by hand is slow, and things get missed. This workflow copies the uploaded file from each AidaForm response into Google Drive.
The AidaForm trigger, New Response, fires when a form is submitted and passes on the answers, including the file upload. The Google Drive step, Upload a File, then uploads the file you map into your selected Drive folder.
One Upload a File step handles the file you map into it. If your form has more than one upload question, add an Upload a File step for each one. Responses without a file still start a run, and Task History shows the error on the Drive step when there is nothing to upload.
Job applications with CVs
Candidates attach a CV to an AidaForm application. Each CV lands in the hiring team's Google Drive folder, ready to share with interviewers.
Client onboarding documents
New clients upload signed agreements or ID through an AidaForm form, and the files are collected in one Drive folder for your records.
Photo or design contest entries
Entrants submit their work through AidaForm, and the judges open every entry from a single shared Google Drive folder.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
AidaForm New ResponseStarts a run for every AidaForm response you receive. All answers, including the uploaded file, become data you can map into Google Drive.
Google Drive Upload a FileUploads the file from the AidaForm response to your selected Google Drive folder. Map the upload answer into this step, connect your Google account, and send a test response to check the result.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- AidaForm AccountAccount
- Google Drive AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when the upload answer is not empty, so responses without a file stop before the Drive step.
- For a form with two upload questions, such as a CV and a cover letter, add a second Upload a File step and map the other answer into it.
- Use a Router with routes based on a form answer, such as the role applied for, each uploading to a different Drive folder. Keep the route conditions on distinct values so a response matches only one.
Questions about this workflow
Does every file from the AidaForm response go to Google Drive?
Only the file you map into the Upload a File step. If your form has several upload questions, add one Upload a File step per question and map each answer separately.
What happens with AidaForm responses that have no file?
The run still starts and reaches the Drive step, which has nothing to upload. You'll see that failed upload logged against the Drive step in Task History. A Filter placed right after the trigger keeps file-less responses away from Drive.
Which Google Drive folder do the AidaForm files go to?
The folder you select in the Google Drive step after import. Send a test response to confirm the file lands where you expect.
