What this workflow does

Bricks Builder lets you design sign-up and contact forms right in the page, but the people who fill them in still need to get to your email platform. If you send newsletters through Mailbluster, this workflow moves each person across when they submit the form, instead of you copying entries in batches.

The Bricks Forms trigger starts a run for each entry sent through a Bricks form on your site. FlowMattic passes the answers to Mailbluster, where Create a New Lead adds the person using the values you map, starting with the email address and any name fields your form collects.

Every submission runs the step, including repeat sign-ups from the same address. How Mailbluster treats an address it already has is up to Mailbluster, so send a second test with the same email and check the response in Task History. If your site has several Bricks forms, the trigger can pick up all of them, and the tips show how to limit it to one.

If you run several Bricks forms, add a Filter after the trigger that continues only when the form ID or name matches your sign-up form.
Add a consent checkbox to the form and a Filter that continues only when it is ticked, so only people who agreed to emails become Mailbluster leads.

Questions about this workflow

What happens if the email is already a lead in Mailbluster?

The step always tries to create a lead. Mailbluster decides how to handle an existing address, so test with the same email twice and check the response in Task History.

Does the Bricks form still send its own emails?

Yes. The workflow only listens for submissions and doesn't change your Bricks form actions, so any email or redirect you set up there carries on.

Are past Bricks form entries sent to Mailbluster?

No. Entries sent before the workflow is switched on are never picked up. Older entries need to be added to Mailbluster another way.

Do I need Bricks Builder on the same site as FlowMattic?

Yes. The trigger listens to Bricks forms on the WordPress site where FlowMattic is installed. Mailbluster is reached through your connected account.
