What this workflow does
Not every subscription starts at a checkout page. Clubs, services and B2B sellers often take sign-ups through a plain form and then set the person up for billing by hand. This workflow takes a Contact Form 7 entry and builds both records in Pabbly Subscriptions: the customer, then their subscription.
The Contact Form 7 trigger starts a run when a form is submitted and passes every field on. The first Pabbly Subscriptions step creates a customer from the answers you map, such as the name and email. The second step creates a subscription, which FlowMattic describes as an action for an existing customer, so it uses the customer the step before it just made.
Both Pabbly steps arrive empty. After import you connect your Pabbly account, map the form fields into the customer, then map that customer into the subscription step and set the subscription details it asks for, including which of your Pabbly plans it belongs to. A test submission shows what each step needs and returns.

- Use one dedicated form for sign-ups. Every submission of the form you pick starts a customer and a subscription, so a general contact form is the wrong choice here.

No. Contact Form 7 only collects the details. Pabbly Subscriptions holds the customer and subscription, and any payment happens on Pabbly's side according to how your plan is set up there.
Why does the workflow create a customer before the subscription?
The Create Subscription action works on an existing customer. Creating the customer in step 2 gives step 3 a record to attach the subscription to.
What happens when someone submits the Contact Form 7 form twice?
Both entries start a run. Pabbly Subscriptions may refuse a second customer with the same email, so look at those runs in Task History before you rely on them.
Which Pabbly plan does the new subscription use?
The one you set in the Create Subscription step after import. The template doesn't choose a plan for you.
