What this workflow does
Sites built with Divi often use its contact form module for sign-ups. When that sign-up is for a paid plan, the details still have to reach your billing tool. This workflow sends them from the Divi Forms submission straight into Pabbly Subscriptions and opens the subscription in the same run.
When the form is submitted, the first Pabbly Subscriptions step creates a customer from the form's fields. The second step then starts a subscription. FlowMattic describes that action as working for an existing customer, so it uses the customer made one step earlier.
Both Pabbly steps are left for you to set up. Map the name and email from the Divi form into Create Customer, then in Create Subscription map the customer from step 2 and select the plan. Submit the form once as a test and read Pabbly's responses in Task History.
Each submission runs both steps, so a person who sends the form twice is sent to Create Customer twice. Divi's form module offers only the fields you add to it, so make sure it asks for everything Pabbly needs before you connect it.
Coaching programme enrolment
A coach's Divi site has an enrolment form, and each new client is set up in Pabbly Subscriptions on the monthly coaching plan.
Hosting or maintenance packages
A freelancer's Divi landing page sells a maintenance package; the form creates the client and their subscription so billing is ready.
Newsletter with a paid tier
A publisher's Divi form signs readers up for a paid newsletter plan in Pabbly Subscriptions.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Divi Forms New Form SubmissionFires when a Divi form on your site is submitted. The field values from that submission are passed on so you can map them into Pabbly Subscriptions.
Pabbly Subscriptions Create CustomerAdds a new customer to Pabbly Subscriptions from the Divi form data. Nothing is mapped yet: after import, map the name and email fields, plus any address fields your plan needs.
Pabbly Subscriptions Create SubscriptionOpens a subscription on a Pabbly plan for the customer step 2 created. Select the plan and map that customer after import, then make a test submission to see Pabbly's reply.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Divi Forms PluginPlugin
- Pabbly Subscriptions AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- If your site has other Divi forms, watch the first runs in Task History. If enquiries start runs too, put a Filter between the Divi Forms trigger and the Create Customer step on a field only your sign-up form has.
- To skip test or spam entries, put a Filter between the Divi Forms trigger and the Create Customer step, for example requiring a ticked terms checkbox. Use a field from your own form.
- To welcome new subscribers, add an Email step after Create Subscription, with a Delay between the two if you'd rather send it a day later.
Questions about this workflow
Can the Divi form choose between Pabbly plans?
Not as imported: the Create Subscription step uses the plan you set. For a choice, map a plan from a form field, or put a Router between the two Pabbly steps, give each route its own Create Subscription step for one plan, and use conditions that can't overlap.
Do I need Divi's own form module for this Pabbly workflow?
Yes. The trigger listens to forms built with Divi on your WordPress site. Forms from other plugins need their own trigger.
What does Pabbly Subscriptions do with a repeat sign-up?
Each run asks Pabbly to create a new customer. How Pabbly handles an email it already has is up to Pabbly, so try a repeat address in a test and look at Task History.
