The When new form submission is received in Elementor Pro Form, check if a field contains a word using Filters, and add the data to Google Spreadsheet workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 3 steps across Elementor, Filter, Google Sheets
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

One Elementor Pro form often collects messages of very different kinds. If a team only cares about entries that mention a product, a city or a keyword such as refund, sifting the full list by hand wastes time. This workflow writes just the entries that contain the word you pick.

The Elementor trigger fires on New Form Submission from an Elementor Pro form. The second step is Continue If Condition Meet, a Filter that decides whether the entry goes on. The template ships with no condition in it, and a Filter with no condition stops every run. So until you add your rule, nothing reaches the sheet. Set it to check that your chosen field contains the word you want.

When an entry passes, the run continues to Google Sheets, where Add New Row writes the mapped fields to your spreadsheet. Entries that fail stop at the Filter and add nothing. Task History shows each run and where it ended.

Refund requests from a general contact form

The Filter checks the message field for the word refund, and only those entries reach the sheet your billing team reviews.

Leads for one product line

Entries whose message names a specific product are written to that product manager's spreadsheet.

Local service enquiries

A business serving several towns keeps a sheet of enquiries whose address field contains the town one crew covers.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Elementor New Form Submission

Runs each time an Elementor Pro form on your site is submitted. All of the submitted fields are handed to the Filter and the Google Sheets step.

  2. Step 2Logic
    Filter Continue If Condition Meet

Continues only when the condition you add is met, such as a field containing your word. It ships empty, and an empty Filter stops every run, so set the condition before you turn the workflow on.

  3. Step 3Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Writes a new row to the spreadsheet you choose for each submission that passed the Filter. Map the Elementor form fields to columns and connect your Google account.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Elementor PluginPlugin
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Set the Filter's condition to contains, pick the form field to check, and type the word. Without this, the Filter stops every submission and the sheet stays empty.
  • Choose a word that the entries you want contain and others don't. After a few days, look in Task History at which entries stopped at the Filter and adjust the word if needed.
  • Send two test submissions after import, one with your word and one without, then confirm in Task History that only the first added a row.

Questions about this workflow

Why did no Elementor entries reach Google Sheets after import?

As imported the Filter holds no rule, and with no rule it halts each submission. Add the contains rule for your field and word, then submit a new test entry.

Which Elementor form fields can the Filter check for a word?

Any field the Elementor Pro form submits, such as a message or subject field you built. Pick it in the Filter's condition after a test submission has come through.

Is the free version of Elementor enough for this template?

No. The form submissions this trigger listens for come from the Elementor Pro form widget, so Elementor Pro must be active on the same site as FlowMattic.

Do Elementor entries without the word go anywhere?

No. Those runs stop at the Filter. Elementor still handles the submission as usual, but no row is added for it.

An excellent replacement to Zapier with unlimited tasks and full control over data. Customer service is fantastic! Have had hands-on support from owner who is ultra helpful and they have even been integrating new SAAS options continuously.

Brad

It's an exceptional product. Works great and extremely valuable. I saved thousands of dollard on Zapier, as Flowmattic makes me able to host the automation myself. And very deeply integrates with the products I need.
