When new submission is received in Contact Form 7, create a new order in WooCommerce
Each Contact Form 7 submission creates a new order in WooCommerce from the details the visitor entered, so order requests sent through a form land in your store’s order list.

What this workflow does
Some shops take orders through a plain form: custom requests, phone-style orders, or products that need a conversation before checkout. Those requests then arrive by email, and someone has to enter each one into WooCommerce. This workflow creates the order for you.
The Contact Form 7 trigger fires when a visitor submits your form, and the fields they filled in become data you can map. The WooCommerce step then creates a new order on the same WordPress site, using the form values you map, such as the customer's name, email and what they asked for.
Each submission creates one order, whatever the visitor typed, so plan your form fields around what the order needs. Check a test run to see which order details the step fills and which status the order gets. Task History shows every run and the response from WooCommerce.
Custom order requests
A bakery takes cake orders through Contact Form 7, and each request becomes a WooCommerce order the team works through in the usual order screen.
Orders taken by staff
Staff fill in an internal Contact Form 7 form while on the phone with a customer, and the order is created in WooCommerce.
Wholesale enquiries
Trade customers send their order through a form, and the shop owner reviews each one as a WooCommerce order.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Contact Form 7 New Form SubmissionRuns on every Contact Form 7 submission on your site. The answers the visitor gave are passed on to build the order.
WooCommerce Create New OrderCreates a new order in WooCommerce from the mapped form values. Map the customer and product details your form collects, then run a test to check the order that is created.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Contact Form 7 PluginPlugin
- WooCommerce PluginPlugin
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Make the email and product fields required in Contact Form 7 (with email* and a required select or text tag) so every order has the basics.
- If the form is also used for general questions, add a Filter that continues only when an order-related field has a value.
- Add an email step after WooCommerce to tell the customer you received their request, using the order details from its response.
Questions about this workflow
Does the visitor pay when the Contact Form 7 form creates the order?
No. The form does not take payment. The workflow creates the order in WooCommerce, and you handle payment however you normally do for these orders.
Which WooCommerce products end up in the order?
Whatever you map in the order step. Check the step after import to see how it takes products, and confirm with a test submission.
Is a WooCommerce order created for every Contact Form 7 submission?
Yes, as imported. Add a Filter after the trigger if some submissions should not become orders.
Do Contact Form 7 and WooCommerce need to be on the same site?
Yes. Both are WordPress plugins and need to be installed on the site where FlowMattic runs.
