What this workflow does

If you take requests on a landing page built with Instantpage.dev but fulfil them through WooCommerce, someone has to retype each one as an order. This workflow creates the order for you whenever Instantpage.dev sends its data out.

The first step is FlowMattic's Webhook trigger. It gives you a URL that you add in Instantpage.dev. FlowMattic's Instantpage.dev trigger is also a webhook receiver, so this generic trigger is equivalent. Every value posted to the URL can be mapped.

The second step runs Create New Order in WooCommerce on the same WordPress site as FlowMattic. You map the customer's details and say which product goes on the order. Each webhook call creates one order. Creating an order this way doesn't collect a payment, so check the order status and payment details in a test before you rely on it. Task History records each run with the payload and WooCommerce's reply, which is the first place to look if an order comes out incomplete.

Turn on "Require authentication on incoming requests" in the Webhook trigger if Instantpage.dev can send the key, so only real submissions create orders.
If the page offers more than one product, include the choice in the Instantpage.dev data and map it in the order step, rather than fixing one product for every order.
Add an email step after the order is created to confirm the request to the buyer, using the email address from the webhook data.

Questions about this workflow

Is the customer charged when the WooCommerce order is created?

No. The step creates the order record only. Payment needs to happen elsewhere, such as on delivery or through a payment link you send.

What if Instantpage.dev sends the same request twice?

Each webhook call creates a new order, so a duplicate post means a duplicate order. Task History shows both runs if you need to find them.

Can anyone create WooCommerce orders through the webhook URL?

Without authentication, any request sent to that URL creates an order. Switch on the trigger's authentication option and have Instantpage.dev send the key.
