Log every new SumoQuote project in a Google Sheets spreadsheet
Each time a project is created in SumoQuote, this workflow adds a row for it to a Google Sheets spreadsheet, building a running list of jobs you can sort, share and report on.

What this workflow does
SumoQuote holds your projects and quotes, but owners and office staff often want a simple list of every job in a spreadsheet: to count new work each week, share it with a bookkeeper or plan crews. This workflow keeps that list up to date as projects are added.
The SumoQuote trigger fires when a new project is created. The project's data comes into FlowMattic as fields you can map. The Google Sheets step adds a row to the spreadsheet you pick, with each column taken from the project field you assign.
The workflow logs creation only. Later changes in SumoQuote, such as a signed quote, don't update the row. Each new project adds one row, and Task History shows the data from every run if you need to check what was logged.
Weekly new-job count
A roofing company sorts the sheet by date each Monday to see how many SumoQuote projects were opened the week before.
Hand the job list to a bookkeeper
A bookkeeper without a SumoQuote login follows new projects in a shared Google Sheet.
Plan crews from one list
The office manager reads new projects from the sheet and adds a column for the crew assigned to each job.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
SumoQuote Project CreatedFires when a new project is created in SumoQuote. The project's details are passed on for mapping into the spreadsheet.
Google Sheets Add New RowInserts one row per new SumoQuote project into the spreadsheet you select. Connect a Google account and assign project fields to the sheet's columns.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- SumoQuote AccountAccount
- Google Sheets AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Create a test project in SumoQuote after import. Its data then appears in FlowMattic, ready to match to your sheet's columns.
- Leave a few columns in the sheet unmapped for your team's own notes, such as crew or follow-up date. Columns you don't map stay untouched by the workflow.
- To also alert someone, add a Slack or email step after the Google Sheets step using the same project fields.
Questions about this workflow
Does the Google Sheets row change when the SumoQuote project changes?
No. The workflow adds a row when the project is created and does not go back to it. Later changes stay in SumoQuote.
Will my existing SumoQuote projects be added to the sheet?
No. Only projects created after you turn the workflow on are logged.
What SumoQuote project details can I put in the sheet?
Whatever the trigger passes on for the new project. Create a test project and look at the captured data to see what is available to map.
Which accounts does this SumoQuote workflow need?
A SumoQuote account where your projects are created, and a Google account with access to the spreadsheet.
