Log new Aha! features in a Google Sheets spreadsheet

Each time a feature is created in Aha, this workflow adds a row for it to a Google Sheets spreadsheet, so people outside your product team can see the new features without an Aha seat.

What this workflow does

Aha holds your roadmap, but not everyone who cares about it works inside Aha. Sales, support and leadership often want a simple list of what has been added, in a format they can sort and comment on. This workflow builds that list in Google Sheets as features are created.

The Aha Create a feature trigger fires when a new feature is created. FlowMattic passes the feature's data to Google Sheets, and Add New Row appends a row to the spreadsheet you select. You map the feature details you want, such as its name and description, into your columns.

The sheet records each feature as it was when created. Later edits in Aha are not copied, because this template uses the creation trigger only; FlowMattic's Aha app also has an Update a feature trigger if you want a separate change log. Task History lists every run and the row each one wrote.

Sales team tracking what is coming

Account managers filter the sheet to see features added this month in Aha, without asking the product team for a roadmap export.

Support team linking requests to features

Support staff search the sheet for a newly created Aha feature that matches what a customer asked for, then note it in their reply.

Leadership review of roadmap intake

A monthly chart built on the sheet shows how many features the product team added over time.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Aha! Create a feature

Runs when a feature is created in Aha. The new feature's data is passed to the Google Sheets step for mapping.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Appends one row per new Aha feature to the Google Sheets spreadsheet you choose. Connect your Google account and map the feature details to your column headers.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Aha! AccountAccount
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Create a test feature in Aha after import so FlowMattic captures real feature data, then complete the column mapping and check the row.
  • Add a Filter after the trigger if only features from one product or workspace belong in this sheet, using a field from the test run.
  • Set up a second workflow on the Aha Update a feature trigger that writes to another tab, if you also want a record of feature changes.

Questions about this workflow

Are existing Aha features copied to the sheet?

No. Only features created after the workflow is turned on are logged. Export older features from Aha if you want them in the same sheet.

What happens when someone edits an Aha feature?

Nothing in this workflow. It runs on feature creation only, so the row keeps the details from when the feature was first created.

Which Aha feature details can I put in columns?

Whatever Aha sends with the new feature. Run a test after import and check the trigger's captured data in FlowMattic to see the fields available.
