Log every new Onfleet task in a Google Sheets spreadsheet

Every task created in Onfleet is added as a new row in a Google Sheets spreadsheet, giving your delivery or dispatch team a running log of jobs they can sort, count and share.

Onfleet Google Sheets

2 steps Setup ~5 min Used on 700 sites Free to import

The Log every new Onfleet task in a Google Sheets spreadsheet workflow on the FlowMattic canvas, with 2 steps across Onfleet, Google Sheets
The workflow as it appears in the builder after import. Each step opens for editing.

What this workflow does

Onfleet is built for dispatching and tracking deliveries, not for the spreadsheets that billing, reporting and planning still depend on. Pulling task lists out by hand at the end of each day is easy to skip. This workflow adds each task to a sheet the moment it is created.

The Onfleet trigger fires when a new task is created in your account. FlowMattic passes the task data to Google Sheets, and the Add New Row action writes it into the columns you map in the spreadsheet you choose.

The row captures the task when it was created. Later events, such as a driver starting or completing it, don't update the row, because this template listens only for new tasks.

Daily dispatch count for a courier

The operations lead counts the day's rows to see how many delivery tasks were created and compares it with driver capacity.

Billing list for a delivery service

A company that charges merchants per delivery uses the sheet as the list of tasks created for each merchant when it prepares invoices.

Shared view for store staff

Shop staff without an Onfleet login check the spreadsheet to confirm a customer's delivery has been set up.

How this workflow runs

What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.

  1. Step 1Trigger
    Onfleet New Task Created

Runs when a new task is created in your connected Onfleet account. The task data Onfleet sends is passed to the Google Sheets step for mapping.

  2. Step 2Action
    Google Sheets Add New Row

Adds a row to the Google Sheets spreadsheet you pick for each new Onfleet task. Map the task data into your columns and connect your Google account on import.

What you need

  • FlowMatticCore
  • Onfleet AccountAccount
  • Google Sheets AccountAccount

After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.

Make it yours

Changes worth making after you import it.

  • Create a test task in Onfleet after import so FlowMattic captures the task fields, then map them to your columns before you switch the workflow on.
  • Add a Filter after the trigger if one Onfleet account serves several teams or merchants and this sheet should only list tasks for one of them.
  • Task data can include customer addresses and phone numbers. Map only the columns the sheet's readers need, and share it with care.

Questions about this workflow

Does the sheet show when an Onfleet task is completed?

No. Only task creation adds a row, and rows are never edited later. Onfleet's Task Completed trigger can feed a separate workflow that logs finished deliveries.

Are Onfleet tasks created before import added?

No. Only tasks created after you turn the workflow on are logged. Add older tasks yourself if you need them in the sheet.

Does the workflow change anything in Onfleet?

No. It only reads each new task and writes a row to your spreadsheet.
