Generate AI response for FluentForm submission and show the response to the user
When someone submits your Fluent Forms form, Groq AI writes a reply from their answers and FlowMattic shows that reply as the form’s success message on the page.

What this workflow does
A standard "Thanks, we got your message" tells the visitor nothing new. If your form asks a question that deserves a real answer, such as a quick quote, a product suggestion or feedback on a short piece of text, this workflow lets an AI write that answer and show it to the person right after they submit.
The Fluent Forms New Form Submission trigger starts the run when an entry comes in, and Fluent Forms stores the entry as usual. Its fields are passed to Groq AI, whose Create Chat Completion step returns a model response for the conversation you give it.
That Groq step ships unmapped. After import you connect Groq and write the prompt: an instruction for the AI plus the form answers mapped in, for example "Suggest one of our three plans for this business" followed by the visitor's company size and goals.
The final step, Fluent Forms Set Custom Response, replaces the form's success message with text you set, so map the Groq reply into it. Keep the prompt short and ask for a brief answer, since the visitor sees it on the page. Submit a test entry and review Task History to see the prompt Groq received and what it wrote.
Instant plan recommendation
A web agency's pricing form asks about budget and goals, and the visitor sees a suggested package written by Groq in place of a generic thank-you.
Quick feedback on a short text
A copywriting coach lets visitors paste a headline into a Fluent Forms field and shows Groq's rewrite suggestions as the success message.
Answers for a help request form
A software company's support form gives a first suggested fix from the AI on screen, while the entry still lands in Fluent Forms for the team.
How this workflow runs
What happens at each step once the workflow is on, and what you need before you import it.
Fluent Forms New Form SubmissionStarts when a visitor submits your Fluent Forms form. The entry is saved by Fluent Forms and its field values are passed on so you can include them in the AI prompt.
Groq AI Create Chat CompletionSends a chat prompt to Groq AI and returns the model's reply. Shipped empty: connect Groq and write the instruction with the form answers mapped into it.
Fluent Forms Set Custom ResponseReplaces the form's success message with the text you set. Map the reply from the Groq step into it so the visitor reads the AI answer after submitting.
What you need
- FlowMatticCore
- Fluent Forms PluginPlugin
- Groq AI AccountAccount
After importing, map your own data. To keep the template universal, not every step is pre-filled. Open each step in the builder and connect your accounts and fields (channels, lists, sheets, recipients) before you switch the workflow on.
Make it yours
Changes worth making after you import it.
- Tell the model the length and tone you want, such as three sentences in plain language, so the message fits neatly under the form.
- Put your own fixed text before the mapped Groq reply in the custom response, for example a heading that says the answer was generated by AI.
- If the form has an email field, add an Email step after Set Custom Response that sends the visitor a copy of the AI answer.
- Use the form's own required-field settings so the answers the prompt depends on are always filled in before Groq sees them.
Questions about this workflow
Does the visitor see the Groq answer on the same page?
Yes, that's what Set Custom Response is for: it sets the Fluent Forms success message for that submission. Map the Groq reply into it and test with a real entry.
Does the Groq reply replace storing the Fluent Forms entry?
No. Fluent Forms stores the submission as normal. This workflow only adds the AI reply and changes the message shown after submitting.
Do I need a Groq account for the AI step?
Yes. The Create Chat Completion step connects to your own Groq account, so set up that connection after import and run a few test submissions before going live.
Can the AI reply include the visitor's name?
Yes. Map the name field from Fluent Forms into the prompt and ask the model to address the person by name.
